Hornets GM Mitch Kupchak said on Friday that the team is looking to move up in next week's NBA Draft.

Charlotte currently has the 12th overall pick in the June 20 draft and with the not having much room cap-wise, moving up in the lottery may be the easiest path to improving the roster around All-Star Kemba Walker. "We’re talking to a lot of teams. We would like to move up," Kupchak said Friday. "Historically, if you look at what it costs to move up four slots or two slots or five slots, a lot of times it’s an expensive transaction." The question worth asking is can Charlotte move up in the lottery while also finding some salary cap relief. If so, that would be optimal heading into free agency. Walker, who will be an unrestricted free agent later this month, is eligible for a super max contract, and Jeremy Lamb will also be a free agent.
Imagine having $85 million of the cap committed next season between Nic Batum, Bismack Mutombo, Marvin Williams, Cody Zeller, Kidd-Gilchrist .

YIKES!!!

WOJ: AD TO THE LAKERS FOR BALL, INGRAM, HART, AND THREE FIRST ROUND PICKS INCLUDING 1.04

:towelwave:
I don’t think much of Ball or Ingram, but still, not a bad haul under the circumstances. Presumably Boston wasn’t serious about bidding. The rest of LAL’s offseason will be very interesting.
