2019 NBA Mock Draft -- That's a wrap. Thanks everyone! (1 Viewer)

Juxtatarot

Footballguy
I thought last year went well so let's do it again!

Respond below to pick the team you'd like to draft for.  Some of us will probably have to take two teams but just take one for now.  I get the Bulls.

The latest we'll begin is the end of the NBA Finals.  Maybe we'll start a little sooner if the Finals go long or we fill up the teams early.

We should have enough time not to be too rushed.  However, if you know you're going to be out without Internet access for several days between the Finals and Draft, probably best to skip this.

Trades are not only allowed but encouraged.

I’ll take the Pistons again.

Last year I got us Landry Shamet in the 2nd round, he ended up actually going late first and was a steal there. In real life I already forgot who the Pistons took.

Open to a 2nd team if needed, don’t care who.

What’s up man, never see you post in the b-ball thread anymore. Curious about your take on the current Lakers situation and the Magic thing.

It's depressing.  Magic quitting hopefully sped up what I'm hoping is inevitable with Jeanie Buss getting tired of all the negative press (because you know she cares about her public perception) and fires everyone.  Then hires someone to completely take control of all basketball operations and puts in place HIS general manager, and HIS coach.  She probably would have never fired Magic and this could have gone on for another few years.  I could have seen us striking out on the FA's, missing out on AD and Beal types and him panic trading the young guys for Chris Paul or Mike Conley, which would have set us back even further.

Pelinka's only chance at surviving this ####storm is Lebron recruiting KD, Kawhi, Kyrie, Klay, or Kemba and making a good trade for a third star.  Both look doubtful so this could definitely get worse with him maxing out a less than top tier FA and making a bad trade.

If you need someone to double up I can take New Orleans since the first is an obvious pick and their 2nd is around the garbage I'll be picking for ATL anyways

Cool but I'd like to wait a little longer for others before we start doubling up.  Also, whoever takes New Orleans gets to decide if they want to trade Anthony Davis at/before the draft.

@Long Ball Larry, @Dr. Octopus @scoobus @flranger @Frostillicus @Worm @wikkidpissah @Spartans Rule @Capella @caustic @modogg @SWC

If you'd like to double up, please pick a team now.  We have 11 teams with first round picks not chosen.  Even though their first round picks are obvious, New Orleans and Memphis would be fun to pick to maybe trade a player.

The clock will officially start after the game tonight if Toronto wins.  If Warriors win, we'll probably start soon anyway because I'm concerned about finishing by the 20th.

I'll take Utah and Cleveland.

Speaking of which, we can only make deals that involve draft picks, is that right? I will of course wait til all the teams are locked up (and the Pelicans are still available to a new-in), but that would essentially limit the teams Nawlins can do business w on the Brow to NY & LA, nesspas?

Also - juxtatarot, as Celts GM (and one who renounces Kyrie for cap purposes - and denounces him for human-being purposes) i would like to offer you the 1.20 for Kris Dunn. i got an eye on a coupla guys with my 1.14 so can't offer that pre-draft but i'd like to re-sign Scary Terry, bring Dunn back to New England and make the ball job for the Green a movable feast between Maaacus Smaaat, Rozier and Dunn.

If teams what to make trades that don't involve draft picks, that's fine with me.  I don't see the harm.

Can the Celtics add Dunn without sending salary back? I'm not sure we can make that work.

Technically, Kyrie is under contract until he opts out, so the Green can't actually renounce him. However i imagine that means i can trade him to Chicago (plenty cap room) with the 1.20 for Dunn and he just opts out from you instead of us. I just thought we'd eliminate the middle man for the purposes of our li'l exercise

From ESPN Trade Machine:  "After the trade deadline, a team cannot trade a player whose contract in ending or could end due to a Player/Team option or Early Termination Option"

would you trade Kris Dunn for the produce of the 1.20 Boston pick, if you were allowed to instruct us who to choose, after Kyrie opts out OR Kyrie Irving if he opts in?

Do you care about Guerschon Yabusele?  I think we could trade Dunn for Yabusele and the pick after he signs.

the Dancing Bear is yours. since we can make it a thing then, cant we just make it a thing now?
Trade accepted.  Dunn for Guerschon Yabusele and pick #20.  Boston will technically pick for Chicago but I will switch it for this mock to make things easier/clearer.
