And what % of people who vote for Trump are racists?  I only ask because I'm hearing it's 100%

Not all Trump voters are racists. Probably a low number of people who are actual racists out there IMO. But those that are he probably polls pretty high. Like "do you like Puppies" or "Do you like Pie" type numbers.

Just to state a fact: if 46% of white people in this country vote for the Democrat in next year's election, Trump will lose in a tremendous landslide.

46%? :lmao:  Hillary only got 37% of the white vote, I would be shocked if Democrats broke 30% in the white vote next year.

Appreciate the thought out reply. What are your views on the Democrats who say all Trump supporters are racists?

I dont understand what they are trying to accomplish making such an absurd statement.

The Democrat debate tonight was so bad Democrats were wondering half way in why President Trump wasn’t tweeting.

He was watching the bachelorette with the rest of us that knew how brutal Dem debates are. :lmao:

That is an absurd statement. There is no way to defend that statement, really

However, it is fair to say that trump supporters do not think being a racist disqualifies someone from being president  (at worst), or think that using racist rhetoric does not (at best).

49% of Democrats Think Trump Voters Are Racist

Most voters don’t consider supporters of President Trump to be racist, but half of Democrats do.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters disagree with the following statement – “Vote for Donald Trump, and you are a racist.”  Twenty-nine percent (29%) agree with the statement, while 12% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

But a closer look finds that 49% of Democrats think Trump voters are racist, compared to 13% of Republicans and 23% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

There are a few talking heads and celebs who have said as much as well.

So nobody actually here...just anonymous people polled from Rasmussen?

And really just an odd question.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement – “Vote for Donald Trump, and you are a racist”?

But fair enough...49% of democrats polled by Rasmussen agreed with that.

Just then seems odd to frame it as a big movement as you did in the first statement I replied to...prominent democrats aren't really saying that.  People here aren't really saying that.

I don't think any consistent poster on here has said that.  I was mainly referencing Rob Reiner's recent tweet stating it.

I 100% disagree that a vote for trump makes a person racist.  I get annoyed when I read it because it is a very close minded talking point and factually incorrect.

Sure...when anyone claims that all trump voters are racist ill be sure to point it out.

If you would police yourself and your side on things that would help as well.

We are gonna need a bigger boat-

The Trump campaign dug up an old video of Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) on Wednesday that shows him calling his district "drug infested," which comes after the media and Democratic Party repeatedly attacked President Donald Trump for calling Baltimore drug- and rat-infested over the weekend.

During a congressional hearing in 1999, Cummings said: "This morning I left my community of Baltimore, a drug infested area" where people were "walking around like zombies.

The newly uncovered clip comes after Trump repeatedly slammed Cummings over the weekend for the poor conditions in his district.

During a congressional hearing in 1999, Cummings said: "This morning I left my community of Baltimore, a drug infested area" where people were "walking around like zombies.

This was Cummings' statement in hearing, with Gen. Barry McCaffery, Director of National Drug Policy:

Quote

Mr. CUMMINGS. Thank you very much, Mr. Chairman. I certainly am from Baltimore, and I am very proud to be so. As I listened to the gentleman from New York, I could not help but think about the fact that there are so many people who need medical treatment. They need treatment. For a lot of people, it is very easy to sit back and look at folks. Well, I live in the middle of it. I live in a drug infested neighborhood. I know people who have been trying to get treatment for years—for years—and can’t get it. As a matter of fact, General McCaffrey came to Baltimore about years ago and went through one of those neighborhoods in east Baltimore and had an opportunity to see young men and women who were struggling, taking their own resources, coming up with innovative ways to get the funds to treat themselves.

So I think we have to be very, very careful when someone sits at a distance and then tries to put a microscope on any community and still complain but don’t provide the funds to address the problem. The problem is very serious. It is one, as I said before, I count as a top priority on my list since I live with it. I have known the little girls who I have watched grow up from babies and now selling their bodies for $5 at 14 years old. I see them every day. I know the pain of coming home and seeing my home ransacked, my car broken into because people are in so much pain they don’t even know they are in pain. I am glad that we are having this hearing today. I am personally against decriminalization of drugs, but I am for making sure that people are treated. I am glad that General McCaffrey has made the efforts he has made with regard to inmates, people going to jail and coming out worse off than when they went in. At least we are beginning to try to deal with that problem so when they come out they are better off.

The fact is, sometimes this whole problem reminds me of my little girl when she was a little younger—she is 5 now, but when she was a little younger, she was about 2 years old, I guess, she would come up to me and say, ‘‘daddy, let’s play hide and go seek,’’ and she would put her hand up to her face and say, ‘‘daddy, you can’t find me.’’ But she was standing right in front of me. What I am trying to say is that so often the solutions to the problems are right in front of us, but we don’t address them for various reasons.

And sometimes I think—I think it was Martin Luther King, Sr., who said, you cannot lead where you do not go, you can-not teach what you do not know. I would ask some folks to do what General McCaffrey has done, to walk in my neighborhood, to see what happens when children are left out and left behind, to see that babies do grow up and are placed in difficult circumstances. And so, no, decriminalization is not the solution. Legalization is not the solution. The solution is that we must have a more humane society so that people don’t grow up feeling that they have to do these things.

And, second, if they do these things, to make sure that they get appropriate treatment so that they can come back to life that is productive and a life that is meaningful. I look forward to the testimony, Mr. Chairman, and I want to thank you for holding this hearing. I am just so anxious to hear what is going to be said, I just don’t know what to do.

With that, I want to thank all of our witnesses for being here and thank you for taking your time. I would remind our witnesses—I am almost finished, Mr. Chairman—I would remind our witnesses that your testimony is so important to us. This is the Congress of the United States of America, the greatest country in the world, the most powerful country in the world; and we so happen—we folks up here have been charged with leading this country. Your testimony helps us to address the policies that make this country the great country that it is. We simply take time out to say thank you.

Except Wallace ran third party, open question what he would have done 1-1 vs Humphrey.

Back in 68 it was more party leadership making the call not primaries. Humphrey really got nomination that way. Bobby was coming on strong by taking California. Wallace only had votes in the south and it wouldn't have been enough to defeat either.

In a straight up race against Humphrey he would have lost in an all primary situation.

President Trump once again is the luckiest man in the world.  He was the easy winner last night and tonight.

Bernie is still the only Democrat that has any shot at winning (very small).  The rest of the field is still a complete joke.

And some of the strongest candidates might not even make it to September.  It's like the people that respond to these polls dont even watch the debates. The media isn't helping either, CNN practically tripping over themselves to ensure its Warren and Harris that go up against stumblin bumblin Joe.

I listened to the beginning of the debate on radio driving home. The intro was very WWF like and I think they even said something like Biden versus Kamala at one point. Kamala or Biden in their opening statements talked about not attacking other Dems or unite together type thing and the first question rolled straight into a question that directly pitted Kamala against Biden.

Not a big deal but I did notice.

Biden was better last night. Kamala slipped back a bit.

If the Democrat Party had any sense they would push Tulsi.  So many terrible and unelectable candidates.

Trump should roll over most except Biden.  I still think Biden gets the > 55 white voter crowd.

Tulsi, Yang, Hickenlooper or any of the other more moderates that I can't remember their names because they don't get enough air time.  Instead they are trotting out the 3 socialists to put up against Biden.  Doing that ensures Biden is the nominee.  The fa fa fact is that's a problem, anyhow.

Nobody’s voting for Warren. I doubt the millions that voted for Hillary just to troll Republicans even show up.

#KamalaHarrisDestroyed is trending

Bernie missed the boat last time.

Biden will cruise over those 3.
