I thought you were credibly accused of reporting him , or was that boots?

I don’t report anybody. I did think that boots deserved to be suspended for a few days (no longer) but I didn’t report him. knowledge dropper didn’t deserve any punishment at all.

I got 3 days in the hole for the tribbles reference.  I need to be better. Creating the one pro-Trump thread has made me a target and I have to accept it.

I thought the tribble reference was in poor taste and not excellent, but I don't report people. That said, I laughed at your new avatar.

I’m hearing this bantered around quite a bit this morning and think it’s the opposite. As terrible as the other Democrat candidates are, half the people on that stage would have run circles around Biden.  The guy hasn’t had an original thought in 30 years and has a proven track record of being terrible at running for President. If I were a Biden guy I would be scared to death after what I saw last night.

I didn't see the debate but I hope you're right. Biden sucks and is the only candidate in the democratic field with any likelihood of emerging with the nomination that would give me even a slight pause before pulling the lever for them.

I would like to see more of Tulsi Gabbard going forward.

I think you are largely joking here but if not she was on Joe Rogan’s Podcast a few weeks ago.  I like that format as it’s just a 2/3 hour conversation so you get a much better feel for the person. I liked her, very interesting background. Not sure I’d vote for her yet but I wasn’t off put.

Hopefully she advances to the second round.  It would be nice to hear from a non socialist young female.

You, NCC and a few other people on the left can see this train wreck coming. The funny thing is it’s not hard to see! I’m actually switching gears around here now and will be posting pro Biden comments just so Democrats think he’s a great candidate.

I know people who are Bernie supporters who have told me the same thing if Biden is the nominee. They are real Liberals and not like the hair on fire anti Trump guys here. They will vote 3rd party just like they probably did last time to send a message if Biden gets the nomination.

Dude. I don't think you're going to fool anyone around these parts with pro-Biden rhetoric;)

Also, just to clarify, I'm probably firmly in your "hair on fire anti-Trump" contingent. Im an independent lefty with a few conservative opinions. If Biden is the nominee I will vote for him, just to get Trump out. I'm super pissed that the GOP has done this to me, as I detest voting for the lesser of 2 evils. I typically leave a number of items blank on my ballot, because I don't like any of the candidates.  I never vote for the R or D presidential candidates because they've always both turned me off.

I would feel much better in 2020 if Buttigieg or Klobuchar were the nominee.

The recent Twitter posts from the Trump account while he is in Japan confirm my long held suspicions he’s not actually the one typing in the messages.

It has been a pass around account for awhile.

I'm gonna need Trump to start buying my vote if he ends up going against Yang. The bidding started at $1000 a month. Do I have an $1100?

Anyhow back to this. Serious question for you: do you understand that Yang’s idea of the Basic Income Guarantee is nothing new and has been promoted by many conservative economists, including Milton Friedman? It’s also not meant to represent a free handout but a reallocation of existing government expenditure.

I think we’re going to have to do it at some point in the future. Yang is ahead of his time but the fact is that in the next few decades we’re going to lose 30% of our jobs to automation, and they’re not coming back. That’s not far into the future; it’s starting right now. Amazon has a new convenience store called Amazon Go: 2 locations are open already. There is no cashier, nobody works in the store during the day. You buy your items by pointing your phone at them and walking out. Bezos is planning 3,000 of these stores to open by 2021- more than existing 7-11s (which it will kill). It’s happening now.

Or your going to vote for Warren who will take away a lot more than $1000?  I think Trump will call that bluff.

As long as there is garbage to pick up along the highway and city streets, there is no need for a BIG.  At least make people do something.

Let them eat cake amirite?

I don’t think you’re really getting the concept of what automation is going to do to employment.

Sure I do.  Do you think there will be no work to do?  Hotels will clean themselves?  Robots will build flood walls?  Strawberries  will be trained to jump in baskets?   A bonus is one thing but money to just lay at home and breed is another.

Biden’s got a stranglehold on the >55 crowd that votes in Primaries.  People can talk youth and energy all they want. If Biden holds together that bloc with such a large field splitting other votes, he’s safe.

Maybe I’m being a prisoner of the moment but Biden is taking on water badly. Not sure if he’s equipped to bail himself out.

Yes. These guys aren’t trying to get Biden the nom. His to lose. Bad analogy but if this were football game he just threw a pick 6 on the first snap and his left tackle pulled up lame.

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough called the second night of the first 2020 Democratic debates a “disaster for the Democratic Party” and said that he hopes voters were not watching the face-off, which aired on his network.

"With apologies to our friends and watching, last night was a disaster for the Democratic Party," Scarborough said Friday on "Morning Joe." "My only hope is people were not watching and I will tell you why."

He went on to jab the candidates for criticizing each other instead of focusing their ire on President Trump.

What a tire fire last nights Democrat debate was. :lmao:  Trump was the big winner again.
