TRUMP TO INFINITY AND BEYOND HQ - The Great and Positive Place (9 Viewers)

It’s hard to believe that anyone paying attention could continue to support him.
Very easy for me to believe. You've got a likely two more justices coming up for retirement in the next four years and you have a president who is actually the puppet of his own ego and the voters' acceptance of such.

It's a nice little position for sneaky Republicans to be in right now.

Trump on Acosta:

"He was a great student at Harvard. He's Hispanic. Which I so admire. Because maybe it was a little tougher for him. And maybe not."

Any Republican would have put in two conservative justices already though...so supporting Trump still makes no sense.  Much less those who openly call him the greatest president of their lifetime.

sho, no other Republican wins OH, WI, MI, and PA because they don't run nearly the emotive campaign against free trade. They lose those states and lose the election with their adherence to free trade agreements.

Trump won. He was the only Republican that could have possibly defeated Hillary Clinton, and that Hail Mary saved a Republican Bench for the next ten years.

I will respectfully disagree with the bolded.

And then laugh at that premise as well.

I’m not convinced of this. Another Republican (say Rubio) wins Ohio, Florida, North Carolina.

In truth it’s very difficult for the same political party to win 3 terms in a row- it’s happened exactly once in 80 years. The odds were against Hillary and actually improved for her, IMO, when Trump became the nominee.

Based on the 2016 polls, both Rubio and Kaisich would've destroyed Hillary.

They were so much ahead of Trump in every group, including white women and suburban women.  Among white women, Rubio was a +10 versus Hillary, while Trump was a -4. Trump eventually moved the needle among white women, but Rubio already had them.

Therein lies the problem. Gotta pay attention, be able to process information, and have morals.

Speaking of embarrassing:

“Pocahontas” has become Trump’s go-to slur while mocking Warren and her ill-fated attempt to claim Native American ancestry. But attacking Warren’s demeanor and looks is a new twist, and comes while first lady Melania Trump is purportedly busying herself with anti-cyberbullying work as part of her broader “Be Best” campaign.

Trump went on to compare Warren unfavorably with himself, describing himself as “so great looking and smart, a true Stable Genius!” But note that in that very same tweet, Trump revealed a confusion about fractions. According to an analysis of the results of the DNA test Warren released, her fractional Native American ancestry is somewhere between 1/64 and 1/1024. But in writing “1000/24th,” Trump got it backward.

“Stable Genius,” indeed.

There is already a thread called "The Trump Years- Every day something more shocking than the last!"  HTH
I kind of agree. This thread works best hearing views of Trump supporters or rational exchanges between same and Trump critics.

I would love to hear reactions to things like Acosta, Epstein, the census, the subterfuge against DNI Coates, detention centers, etc, and I wish Trump supporters would talk about these things. As always it’s hard for me to comprehend though admittedly.

Would be nice but some can't keep the nonsense out of here because no one will come fight with them in the Trump Years thread.

That seems strange to like a president who trolls the media.  Because they aren't the fake news crew. But carry on liking that I guess.
Does it strike anyone else how funny it is that Trump, the biggest perpetrator of fake news, keeps asserting that it is everyone else who is producing fake news? It strikes me as him simply relying on the old playground quip of "I know you are but what am I?"

Although playground tactics shouldn't be surprising, all things considered

:lmao:   Joe locks the thread because of the amount of shots being taken at Jon.  Not one time out.  This place is a joke.
You can get a timeout for calling Colin Kapernick "Crappernick", for example, but the same guy offended by that certainly had no problem calling Jon a "drama queen".  Just got all of the evidence deleted instead.

Is he an alias of someone on the payroll?  I pointed out to him in this thread, late one night, how he was using the term "irony" incorrectly.  His post and several of mine disappeared.  Doesn't seem like something a random mod would stumble upon and find concerning.

One of them though was a where I quoted you in the Epstein thread and said a post off between Ham and Dodds would be worth the price of admission.

I have a substantive question for the Trump supporters:

  1. Do you consider yourself conservatives, by which I mean someone who views our republic as that defined by limited and strictly defined executive powers?
  2. If so, how do you reconcile either this view of yourself given your support for this guy?
TIA.

The payday loan industry is back in business,
I honestly think these lenders that serve the unbanked are a really deeply nuanced issue. I won the Consumer Protection award at my law school, which usually goes to someone from the left, but deep down, I was good at it because I was able to see BOF SIDEZ of the reality of the necessity of credit for those that were either underserved or just flat risks.

No,  and actually I was using irony correctly, but I digress...

The mods here delete posts all the time, sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it doesn't. I suspect it is to keep the discussion from veering off into some unrelated tangent from the discussion or to keep a back-and-forth between posters from going any further.

No way.  There wasn't any reason to take issue with those posts. You could hide your's because of you poor grammar, but, you shouldn't be able to get rid of mine.

Let's digress though, not like anything better gets talked about in here.  Let's see your use of "irony".  I'll help with where you went wrong so you know for next time.

Dude, I had nothing to do with the posts being deleted, yours or mine. It is unfortunate my clever retort to you was also deleted. :kicksrock:

My grammar is fine, thank you. I don't wish for or need your help.  :hophead:

1) Yes

2) He ran against Hillary and now will face off against the Final Four of socialists, phonies, and/or the cast from Cocoon.

2?  Hillary isnt running anymore and there is still support despite evidence of him not being what he should be to fulfil #1.  In addition...who of the candidates are phonies?  And age also isnt an issue given Trumps age.

Warren and Harris.  Everything about them is contrived.  Warren falsified her origin for decades.  Harris had an “off the cuff” dig at Biden yet she had T-shirt ready to sell?   Please.
