TRUMP TO INFINITY AND BEYOND HQ - The Great and Positive Place (17 Viewers)

Um, it was a red district for 20 years before Katie Hill won it. Not every Congressional seat in CA is held by a Democrat (ever hear of that guy Devin Nunes?). Democrats in this state are not going to lose any sleep about this result.
Again, first time in over 20 years a congressional seat in California has flipped from blue to red. You can tell when something stings from the reactions (social media, etc.). The dems wanted it bad (so did the GOP). Tons of money was spent on this election on both sides, but only the winner profits.

California is a lost cause (right now), but there's a bigger picture at play. Big win.

The seat is in Simi Valley, a predominantly conservative district that had voter red for two decades before Katie Hill. This was also a special election with reduced turnout. This portends nothing for November as far as CA or the rest of the nation is concerned.

Yeah, that's what the left is saying.

Jennifer Medina (NYT) - "If Garcia wins, expect the Democrats to downplay the loss saying the results are too idiosyncratic to draw lessons for the fall."

Talk about a slam-dunk, LOL.

Why do I get the feeling if there were a Congressional seat that the Republicans held for 32 years and lost it last night we would have a 300 post thread about it raging out of control right now?
And what would be your reaction if that happened. It would probably be “it’s only one seat in a predominately Republican state, not a big deal”.  So why not have the same reaction now. Why is it when it happens on your side it’s now a big deal and signs of a “big change coming”.
Be the change your mocking.

You would be running around here with a full head of steam in your pants if it stayed D  saying “ the outcome was predictable and not unexpected “

You’re still an Independent right?

I love James Woods tweet to Dan Crenshaw. Two good follows on twitter

History has taught us that these leeches eventually are brought to justice. The gallows have dispatched multitudes of them to the hell they deserve. In our country, however, they parade all over the landscape raining our hard earned money over anyone who’ll keep them in power. https://twitter.com/repdancrenshaw/status/1260279556038168578 …

Rep. Dan Crenshaw✔@RepDanCrenshaw

Speaker Pelosi and Democrats just spent WEEKS keeping the House in hiding while they drafted a partisan, multi-trillion dollar bill behind closed doors.

They know this bill will never become law or help anyone.

The country is in crisis, and Democrats are playing politics.

The swamp does, indeed, need drained.

Maybe "Trump" was SUPPOSED to happen.

Funny how these things work.

One has to love the objectivity shown by Breibart - below is just from the first two paragraphs of the link.

In its national poll, the fake news outlet shows Burisma Biden beating Trump 51 to 46 percent, but the presidency is not a national race, it is a race in each of the 50 states.

Earlier this week, CNN was forced to publish another bad news poll (if you are CNN), a poll that showed Trump tying his highest approval number ever — 45 percent — in a CNN poll. This must have been absolutely devastating for CNNLOL, for that shameless gang of far-left propagandists who have spent the last six weeks accusing Trump of murdering 80,000 Americans with the coronavirus.

You should be more concerned that a Democrat won the sear from a Republican after the R's held it for 20 years. THAT is the real "flip", not having it go back. That is because that is traditionally a Republican stronghold.

How is this a valid comparison to a Democrat losing a seat in a traditionally Republican stronghold that she held for a very short period of time?

This would be a great comparison if the Republicans won a seat that the Democrats held for 20 years but that is not the case here.

Why would I be concerned about what happened in the past?

Things are changing (fast).

In this specific race the past is relevant because this seat has been a Republican stronghold for 20 years. A Democrat won last time and a Republican won it back. Things are not really changing here now; the change was when a Democrat won a seat in a Republican stronghold. Nobody is surprised that a Republican won a seat in a District controlled by Republicans for 20 years.

I think the left is QUITE surprised judging by social media.

Furthermore, the dems wanted it bad & spent millions on this campaign.

This is quite a notch in the GOP's belt, but you have the right not to be concerned. I'm certainly not concerned (my side won).

I don't think anyone can be legitimately surprised or concerned given the history of this district.

In the new poll, 51% of registered voters nationwide back Biden, while 46% say they prefer Trump, while in the battlegrounds, 52% favor Trump and 45% Biden. Partisans are deeply entrenched in their corners, with 95% of Democrats behind Biden and the same share of Republicans behind Trump. The two are close among independents (50% back Trump, 46% Biden, not a large enough difference to be considered a lead), but Biden's edge currently rests on the larger share of voters who identify as Democrats.
Those sound like winning numbers to me.

They're changing & they're changing fast ("things").

What happened in the WI-7 race? Expected, right? Pretty much. See the analogy?

Garcia was a rather big win. It really isn't debatable or negotiable.

Trump having productive discussion with s Democrat Jared Polis of Colorado and other D & R governors with common sense. Won't see it on CNN.  Doesn't fit their agenda.

This is Schumer, Pelosi & Schiff and the rest of the haters of successful govt.  :hot:
Watching it now on Fox, just an amazing discussion. I think President Trump left the cameras in there so the media couldn’t reports fake quotes.

Is this the same discussion  in which he stated that he doesn’t agree with Dr. Fauci? Or is the one in which he says he doesn’t believe the CDC’s death toll and wants them to recalculate the numbers to make them lower?

Unfortunately, President Trump seems to want to deny reality at every opportunity. Hopefully he won’t harm the country too badly with his irrationality.

I fear it is already too late for that.  :(

Good news Sqish, Twitter says you can work from home, forever.
That doesn't help people working in the hospitality or service industry who can't work at home and will be forced back by their employers to jump on the COVID-19 grenade (speaking figuratively) or lose their jobs.

Native Americans dont care. Reservations opening up Casinos at 50% capacity, ignoring the Governor. 50% is a lot of people for a casino.

Why are you bringing up Native Americans? That is irrelevant and a deflection from my response to your post about Twitter saying you can work at home forever.

Can we please make a ruling on if polls are good or not.  Asking for a friend.
They’re good if they can be skewed to favor Trump (for instance taking all the battleground states collectively. including some that aren’t really battleground states anymore like Ohio, rather than looking at the key states individually like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, or, even more importantly, key voting blocs like suburban women, blacks, etc.) if they don’t favor Trump then they’re either fake news or can’t be trusted.

It’s not that they don’t care. People are longing to open. It’s terrible for them and I don’t blame anyone who feels that way. But it’s not safe and it’s irresponsible of the President, or you, or me, or anyone who is not a medical expert to encourage this sort of thing.

Hundreds of people gathering. Mostly old people. Served by hospitality workers. The parking lot had 300 cars waiting to get in.

You want me arrested for not wearing a mask, yet you make excuses for them.  Unreal.

I think we should start calling it the New York virus. This guy is the absolute worst. How many thousands of elderly folks in New York nursing lost their lives because of this guy?

Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) doubled down on Wednesday on his assertion that the coronavirus “came from Europe,” telling reporters “no one knew” until recently.

Cuomo has been making headlines this month for claiming the coronavirus came to New York predominantly from European travelers, and even referred to it this week as the “European virus.”

Is this the guy that told people they could get a job tomorrow as an essential worker if they were hurting from the shutdown? He even said it with defiance. LOL. I nearly fell off my chair when I heard it.

DRAIN THE SWAMP....it's going to take some time, unfortunately.

We'll have the next 12 years for sure to do it (non-negotiable). That just about might do it.
