I am 100% certain that the status quo of requiring masks will continue not only after the election, but well into next year if the Democrats win.

True, it strips identity and individualism.  They might push this Covid conspiracy out for just that alone.   Everything will be open though, for the economy, masks will be Covid and any future virus' Kryptonite.

It’s so ridiculous. Of you can “peacefully protest” you can live with the current voting laws.

It's not just China, it's also Vietnam. The Asian countries seem to be getting their economies back to full throttle more quickly than the USA. Maybe masks, culture, etc are playing a role?

Wrong again dad. It’s Democrats like Newsom, Cuomo, Pugsley and every other blue state Governor still keeping their state closed because of politics. These states shouldn’t get a penny from the federal government in aid.

The problem with this statement is it’s people on the sidelines casting aspersions like they know. I’m in a situation where we are working very closely with Governor Newsom and his key people (states attorney etc) to get some clarity/change on the COVID regulations in place for our industry.  With first-hand experience I can tell you I don’t believe this is politics for Newsom, I really believe he truly believes he saving lives. I absolutely disagree with his stance on the closures and how it’s being handled but I believe he believes he’s doing the right thing. Now I’m not inside the guys head or heart so like any of us I can’t wholeheartedly speak for what others for sure believe. But I’m certainly closer to it then a lot of people making random statements on the Internet.

It’s crazy how all the trade issues they were having with the US then suddenly this virus hits the world from Wuhan right before the election. How excited will they be if they get Joe who has laid down for them for half a century?

Please refrain from calling the POTUS a puppet . This is trolling behavior and it’s not welcome here.

The amount of :fishing:in here is taking off recently, is it the SC nomination that has them on edge?

Trump didn't have to do anything and just the 3 appointments alone is a huge success for decades.  It's enough to drive anyone nuts.  Tax reform, economy and jobs are just sprinkles on top.

Tax reform alone and what it’s done for small business dwarfs what was “accomplished” in the previous 8 years.

Economy has been strong without the benefit of the QE we saw under the previous POTUS. Even with a once in a generation pandemic things are ready to bounce back.

It was right there in the post quoted by the guy you responded to. Want some numbers?

SCOTUS: Obama 2 Trump 3

Tax Cuts: Obama extends GWBs cuts for $288 billion. Trump $1.5 trillion.

Jobs: Obama 1.5 mil a year. Trump 2.2 mil a year before the Covid.

So this is somehow an accomplishment?  Judges dying while someone is POTUS is now a victory for one POTUS vs another?  This make no sense to me at all.   Sounds like dumb luck (no matter who the luck befalls)

It's one of the reasons he got elected if not THE reason. But yeah, bad luck for sure he gets 3 in less than 4 years. How much more/less lucky than the bottom of the recession Obama inherited?  Life takes a bit of luck.

Agree with all of this but how is it an accomplishment?  He didn’t do anything to create that situation. While I understand it’s the reason why a lot of people choose one direction or another when voting, in case a vacancy comes up, I just don’t understand how that’s considered a win for Trump (or any POTUS) though.

His tax cut? Sure (if that something one supports).
Jobs? Same as above.

In both those cases one can argue he did something that created those situations.  So if you (the collective “you” I’m speaking about here) like those they can be considered wins for Trump.  But the dumb luck of 3 openings ( 2 if we’re being honest but won’t waste time on that) while your POTUS?  Come on.

Better to be lucky then good I suppose.  But I do agree, in regards to the SC, having an R sitting in the seat between the years of 2017 and 2020 was a win for conservatives for years to come

In some ways, the luck was given a helping hand by the Dems. Harry Reid using the nuclear option on the filibuster for what was a minor, short-sighted victory set this entire scenario up but, in the specific case of RBG, you have to at least wonder out loud why a woman who was in her early 80's and had battled cancer for nearly a decade didn't consider retiring when Obama was president and the dems controlled the senate. They could have hand-picked anyone they wanted at that time and also avoided this particular scenario.

If not for Trump it’s 6-3 left with RBG replaced. It’s a multigenerational difference.

New cases rising in Texas was what I was commenting on.  They've stayed relatively flat since the end of August and that's with increased testing throughout September.

No offense to you or the other Democrats here, but they should have told RGB to take a hike years ago becuse of her age and poor health history. This is on the Democrats. Instead they pumped her up like a penny stock touting her strength and gym routine when she was really in terrible health. No “luck” involved here.
