Predicted Snap Counts, Game Flow, Game Scripts, Etc. (1 Viewer)

Anyone use predicted snaps, game flow, and/or game scripts to help find plug and play options? If so, where do you get this information?

Sort of...

Predicted snaps is likely just the "which guys are the 3 down LBs" --- separate thread discussing that here every season.

Game flow maybe not so much. We do discuss which teams/games will be lots of plays (opportunity) for IDPs and which teams are so bad offensively that their IDPs will see lots of field time (MIA, WAS are the current favorites to be terrible offensively to start the season).

Actual snap counts are available on football insiders and PFF. There's usually a thread discussing that once the season gets rolling, as well.

As he eludes to, it's about application of the data. In addition to snap count info follow Vegas odds, opponent tendencies (especially with sacks and turnovers), and especially injuries - not just the team with the IDP, but who they're playing. It's your team to run, but I generally don't put much thought into any of this at least the end of this month and maybe October. Lineup anyway. I'll try to waiver add someone a week early, but outside of that just start your guys the first 2-3 weeks then re-assess.
