***Official Donald J. Trump Impeachment (Whistleblower) Thread*** (9 Viewers)

I don't even know where the goal posts can go at this point.

I'd guess we're getting really close to "he did it, but it's not impeachable".

Tim bout to come in here and kill the joke like: “that’s because the award was named after him”

so good he gets mi twice

Election night 2020 is going to be such a great time on here I can imagine.

Yep, just like 2016 all over again

I don’t think so. I don’t believe there will be a lot of surprises this time.
None of these posts are about impeachment. Let’s stay focused today, fellas.

I guess they will try to assassinate Sondland’s character. Not sure how though. He’s not a Trump hater. He gave the guy a million dollars.

This is John Dean only worse. How huge was that Roger Stone conviction? I think it must have scared the hell out of him.
My recollection is that he was backing another candidate in the primary, but then got behind trump in the general.  If I have this right, then expect them to paint him as an opportunist

Rep. Jordan: "The facts are on the President's side. The process certainly is not."
The Republicans asked for three witness from the administration, they got all three of them. Two testified yesterday and their testimony was against the president. Hale still to go, plus Trump's own campaign mega-contributor and Ambassador goes today.

So...  Does Nunes still say "hoax" "witch hunt" a dozen times each now?

I still think he has a "Chem Trails" or "Flatearth" coming.

a brohan buddy of mine says that the recent doctor visit will become a basis for resignation after today i dont believe that but that is his theory take that to the bank bromigos

i wonder if sondland got wind that someone in the circle was going to try to throw him under the bus and just went full government witness as a result take that to the bank bromigos

I have to disagree with this perspective. I don't think they're a cult. I think they're following principles which have been developing for some time but which have only been recently exposed for all to see (and the left still hasn't fully recognized them).

It all makes sense if you think about how the American right has seen leftism/socialism as the nation's enemy for 75 years and the enemy is now a growing force in US politics and culture. Stopping it is the priority and all the traditional democratic principles have to be subordinated to this cause.
What is so frightening is the reality that in many ways, we have to vote yes or no to Democracy every day, certainly every election. You can vote to keep democracy a thousand times in a row, but once the ballot is cast to overthrown Democracy for the very authoritarian rule that we see pushed by Trump, Barr, and others, there are no longer opportunities to vote democracy back in.

This is what is so appalling to me - that folks who have pretended to support conservative democratic principles (the same folks who used to claim they wanted to reign in executive power and those who claim we must sacrifice the lives and well being of hundreds of innocent kids who get killed by firearms so we can retain the right to protect ourselves from potential govt infringement) are so willing to toss it all aside. I’d say they are hypocrites, but in the end, it’s seems pretty obvious they never actually cared much for those ideals in the first place.

This era has completely changed my view in so many items and so many individuals. So many whom I used to respect, and others who I may have had strong disagreement with in some issues, but respected them as I had thought those differences were rooted in ideology and a different way to a better nation. But no... it’s all really just party and power for so many.

To think my first ever political donation was to Paul (poppa)

When I see these weak, false descriptives tossed out, it really undercuts the credibility of whomever is saying it.

Hoax, witch-hunt , what have you - it’s a lazy attempt from the President in down. When I see such a lame attempt at discourse of such important issues and events, it just screams at me “they have to know what they are peddling are lies and BS, lest they’d find a better means to communicate their stance then using such childish and empty verbiage”

I thought the same. I doubt it, but a way out if needed. Walking away for health reasons. Don't think his ego would let him do that though.

The writers have been a bit over the top at times, but this was very well conceived.

I’d say   but these are such serious matters and literally our nations future as a free Democracy is to some degree on the line.

Nunes...storytime, circus, mania...again, facts don't work sot he buzzwords come out.  Spending time not on what is going on here, but his bogus spin of the Russian investigations.

And it will play well with the hardcore Trump supporters.

Sounds like the latest revised talking point will be "Sondland only got his orders from Rudy, so you can't prove that Trump ordered the code red."

reading the opening statement, sondland explicitly calls it quid pro quo WRT white house visit in exchange for public announcements of investigations.  He says he assumed the military aide followed suit and made that clear to the Ukranians but he didn't hear that directly from the president.

If there's any wiggle room, its that - there was QPQ for a whitehouse visit but not military aide.  Of course, that begs the question: why was the aide held up?

Jordan's head might explode.

again though watch his opening statement be different than what has been leaked i am just not believing it until i hear it read take that to the bank again which i apparently have to you all standing in line at a lot this morning brochachos

Scorched earth warfare over the other party...odd, since he just has been bashing the other party, while Schiff's opening statement was about individuals, actions, and actual testimony. Which one is going scorched earth over the other party?

Assuming the testimony is as damning as the opening statement makes it appear to be, this has to be a start of major chain reaction. It might be a race between Pompeo, Mulvaney, Pence and Rudy to see  who will flip next. I’d expect at least one major resignation by the end of the week.
