Thought I saw DJ with helmet on with Cards in redzone. Perhaps a good sign he might return?

how bad is Ingram?
He was laying on the ground and looked to be in a lot of pain.  Initially he jumped up and looked to be fine but as he walked off the field he slowly went to the ground on the sideline and called for the trainers.  Might have been a shot to the ribs or something.  Saw a tweet from someone that said he was standing on the sideline now and looked to be fine but not sure.

I got the sense it was a kidney shot. So super painful but I think he will be okay.

How is Keeryon?  He was taken off the field and then the locker room but came back out to the sideline.

Now I see out for game with hamstring. For Singletary

Brees never left the sidelines.  I would think if they thought his thumb was broken they would have taken him in for xrays????  They have taped up his thumb pretty well though....but no ice on the thumb
Just seems like he knows he's done, no reason to leave the sideline.

Fox just showed a clip of Brees trying to grip a ball, but he immediately dropped it and didn't put any flex on his hand.

Brees reportedly OUT for rest of game, but on sideline with helmet on?

Might have the helmet on to hear the playcalls and be in Bridgewater's ear pre-snap to tell him what he sees

Drew Brees says he has had x-rays done on thumb injured during the Saints' loss to the Los Angeles Rams and is waiting to meet with a hand specialist in Los Angeles for further evaluation.

"You're hitting your hands on stuff all the time — helmets and different things," he said during a news conference following the loss. "You might get jammed thumbs, jammed fingers, different things where it swells up and what have you. But this felt like it was something a bit more significant that prevented me from gripping the ball."

I can't find the tweet now but I saw a thumb specialist speculate on the injury.

He seemed to think if it was a torn ligament alone, its typically a 4-6 week injury, and if involves the ligament being displaced from the bone, its 4-6 in a hard cast and 4-6 in a soft cast.

Looking at their schedule, I have to think its possible he's out til the bye and back Week 10.
