Scoring: 2 points for INT or FR or Safety or Blocked Kick, 6 for TD, 1 for sack, -2 for points allowed over 27, -4 over 34 points allowed, -8 over 45 points allowed

Here are my choices (also their rank so far this season in my league).  Weather shouldn’t be a factor in any game this week.

  • Steelers home vs Indianapolis (Colts -1, O/U 43) - #3 DST in my league
  • Eagles home vs Bears (Eagles -5, O/U 44) - #10 DST in my league
  • Cowboys @ Giants (Cowboys -7, O/U 48) - #15 DST in my league
  • Seahawks home vs Buccaneers (Seahawks -6.5, O/U 53.5) - #20 DST in my league
  • Jets @ Dolphins (Jets -4.5, O/U 41.5) - #21 DST in my league
  • Browns @ Broncos (Browns -3, O/U 43) - #25 DST in my league
My thoughts on the teams

Steelers – Defense is improving, offense getting worse with injuries (Conner doubtful).  Colts not likely to give up lots of turnovers or sacks, but not score much either.  T.Y Hilton is out this week.

Eagles – Trubisky really struggling, Eagles Pass D getting healthier (but still not that great), Offense and Defense looked good vs. Bills

Seahawks – Winston has been a turnover machine, but most rankers have both Godwin and Evans in their top 10, so apparently expecting points.

Browns – Brandon Allen starting – zero career starts with 4 years in league, mostly as third QB, OT Ja'Wuan James is out.  Allen should be more mobile than Flacco so not as likely to get sacked, and Cecil Lamme says he is a better fit for the offense than Flacco because he can roll out, etc.  Unless he’s just dazed and confused – no way of knowing.

Cowboys – Giants should get Sterling Shepard back so be at full strength on offense.

Jets – I generally target the Dolphins, but I have a bad feeling about the Jets.  They just put LB Cashman on IR – he’s been a leader in snaps, and Mosely is still out.  And it’s (another) Ryan Fitzpatrick revenge game.

I have to choose between the Jets and Pitt. I thought I was being smart stashing the Jets a couple weeks ago but things have gone downhill since then. Miami is playing better now as well.  Pitt has been very good but I just don't see a lot of opportunities for sacks and turnovers in this game. Indy has a great offensive line and will probably play conservatively.

I have the Jets in right now but I don't feel great about it.
