How could the analytics suggest going for two there?

If you follow a chart with out any actual analysis then maybe you decide to do that.

I do not see any strategic benefit that was provided by going for two there. Now they need to go for 2 if they score again to tie.

Riverboat Ron may not be just following analytics with that decision.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/predictivefootball.com/late-and-trailing-by-14-points-always-go-for-2-after-a-touchdown/amp/

The article above does a nice job breaking it down.

You make the 2 pt conversion half the time.  Smart play that didn't work out.

Well if the choice is equivalent to a coin flip there really is no right answer.

True, except if you make the 1st one, you can kick an XP the 2nd time and win outright.

So if it is a coin flip, but calling "heads" gives you a bonus chance to win, you call heads.

If only we had overhead cameras for times like this.

They showed an overhead view...players on top of the pile blocked that view too.  There was no camera angle that would have seen that moment...ball was surrounded by bodies.

And with him never being able to extend the ball...they weren’t going to overturn.

No I am talking perpendicular to the ground. The one shown was from an angle.

the cia already has that angle but there is no way they are going to let you see it take that to the bank brohan

He was also holding the ball in his arm and there was no way it got over the line. Good no overturn on that play. There were a couple plays by Rodgers that had me wondering what the heck man. The Packers right now are not a top 3 team in the NFC maybe even top 5. Not looking forward to going to San Fran we are gonna get our a$$ kicked unless something crazy happens.

Panthers front 7 has McCoy, Poe, Addison, Thompson, Irvin, Kuechly

and is even worse than GB against the run? Really?

Amazing how bad they are against the run.  The tackling is beyond bad.  Rivera must be sick watching them play.
