POLITICO:  A 'Never Biden' movement vows not to vote for Joe

The Guardian: Bernie or Bust: the Sanders fans who will never vote for Biden

MSN:  A 'Never Biden' movement vows not to vote for Joe

DAILY KOS:  Apparently there is a Never Biden movement already

Concerned?  Shoot, AOC has already backed away from here support of Bernie.  No way is she going to get behind Biden.  How big of an impact if the Socialists Dems don't vote for Biden?  Does that kill Joe's chances?  As much as I think most Dems will be motivated to get rid of Trump, this has got to hurt Biden's chances.

Never Biden Movement.....dream on. Primary exit polls indicate the biggest motivation is picking one they feel can defeat Trump. Democrats and Independent voters are so anxious to vote for anybody but Trump in November records are going to be broken in regards to voter turnout, no matter who the Dem candidate is.
You really think we will have over 60 percent voter turnout? I would be very surprised.

There was 58.2% turnout in 2008. I think people will be just as motivated if not a lot more (given of stakes of 4 more years of Trump) so having another 2% turn out than in that election doesn't seem that much of a leap to me.

I know some people always say this, but this is the most important election of our lifetime.

I see just over 62 percent and while you might think the stakes are the highest ever. I disagree and think more felt that way in 2008 and 2012.

Not in this forum so much, because rabid hatred of Trump dominates.  But outside this Bubble, there are some (4 to 20?) percent who it is a thing for.
Actually if you comb the Bernie and primary threads we have several never Biden Democrats here on this forum.

Outside of the Democrat playpen here I know several. It’s actually much worse than 2016.

That first part is definitely true, and there are always going to be progressives & demsoc’s who will be at odds with moderate, Center left politics.

However, I definitely think the 2nd part is not borne out by fundamentals or the stats in the primaries so far. Biden just won WA for goodness sake.

There may or may not be a Never Biden movement but its gotta be hella bigger than the Always Biden movement. Pony Soldier Joe's ENtire support was Democrats wanting the chickensquawk of this poorly-conducted primary season to end and the opposition to a President which embarrasses their nation each day to begin. I've followed Biden's pathetic presidential aspirations since '88, valued his understanding & input thru the years he was a regular talking-head on the Charlie Rose program and giggled thru his current state of dodder and can't imagine a single person pushing the button saying "this will make America better". Addition by subtraction, pure & simple

Wow.  Disappointed I missed out on the action.  Jon, if you want more cash on AOC not supporting Biden, I’m your man.

As for AOC - put me in the camp that she will 100% support Biden in the fall.

Maybe some of this news is getting lost with all the madness - but the Sanders camp is already a bit miffed at her as she pulled back from the campaign trail, and refused to show up at events with Sanders.

AOC is a lot of things, and one of those things is she is a very skilled politician.  She may rub some people the wrong way, but she knows how to work a crowd, how to work a room, and how to keep advancing her causes.  I have noticed that in the last month, she has shied away from Sanders, and put more energy into spreading her own message.  She sees the writing on the wall, and knows she will have to co-exist with a Biden administration, and she will be a big part of the Dem presence in DC.

She will support Biden, and she will continue to push him to the left on certain issues.

I’m a Bernie supporter, but blue no matter who!
:goodposting:

Last fall, Biden would have been 5th or 6th on my list of people I wanted to see get the nomination - for many of the same reasons posted here, or the Biden gaffs thread, or the Biden thread, or Primary thread, or the debate thread, etc...

And while I do favor Biden over Bernie at this stage, I would vote for either one without any hesitation in the general election.

A lot of people genuinely disliked Clinton - and we can debate why somewhere else - but Joe does not engender that level of hate, nor across that broad a group of people.
