ANNOUNCE:  Many of you are getting lazy in terms of listing the year.

This really is an immersive draft. Immediately I thought of songs with "lazy" in them and thought of "Seventeen" by the Sex Pistols. What an album. otb_lifer got a doozy with that pick. Value in round three, IIRC.

I'm a lazy sod/I'm so laaaazy

You want playlist landmines? I give you playlist landmines. I have to have this and I have no idea  if anyone else might take it but I can’t be too careful. This album really opened up a whole new genre of music for me and I can’t unhear it. Maybe my favorite guitar album.

16.3x ####ed Up - David Comes to Life (2011)

I’ll post songs later if we decide stuff like this can really go on the playlist.

INCOMING!

They have another that I think I drafted in the punk draft. It's the first one, and is my favorite of theirs. So sick. Before they went punk/prog.

I have no idea who this is and I'm pretty sure I still wouldn't without the language filter, but I don't care. The bolded has me laughing out loud.

I THINK I know what picks and I am using here, but I will just post the album for now to move this bad boy along.   Going with another couple albums that I don't think are high on other lists, but don't want to chance it.

16.xx:  THE NATIONAL - TROUBLE WILL FIND ME (2013)

I have only two emotions
Careful fear and dead devotion

Don't Swallow the Cap

Graceless

Not sure how this one will go over, but I need to have some Maiden on my island.   Probably not the one or two left available that people would take first, but in my old age this has become my most listened to.   Speaking of concept albums a bit ago...

17.01:  IRON MAIDEN - SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON (1988)

Suffocation waking in a sweat
Scared to fall asleep again
Incase the dream begins again

Infinite Dreams

The Clairvoyant

Hit me right at the time of Middle School.

They went prog before this with their second. This has elements of prog, right? I remember listening and it being a concept album about a worker and his love and a factory that he then blows up or something. It's a little prog mixed in within punk limitations, IIRC. But the prog was really there on their second proper release.

Sorry, the original comment I made was confusing.

16.35 Raising Sand, Robert Plant & Allison Krauss (2007)

Don't like repeating my 5-10-15-20 album picks, but they were in there cuz they were among the most important albums of my listening career. Plus there are a lot of decisions to make on a desert island and i'll want the counsel of an angel on one shoulder and a devil on t'other and that's the key to why i love this record so much.

Rich Woman

Killing the Blues

I share your love for this. I figured you’d grab it.

This could be up there with the most different back to back picks in the draft. I guess people mixing rap in might have something to say in that area. Anyway, like I said earlier cosmic country is scratching an itch for me these days.

True story: One of the Olsen twins hunted down my balloon animal-making friend in NY (that's been in MOMA and magazines, so his balloon art is serious business) and demanded to see the "hot balloon animal guy" at the club he was working. That guy slept with so many women it's not even funny. And always the guy with the cranky girlfriend. Until he finally found a nice one. And broke up with her.

I don't even know who the band is, so it would be hard to confuse me much more. Nigel's comment about whether it's even eligible for the playlist intrigued me. I have a feeling this isn't music that would be up my alley.

Is it The Blind Boys Of Alabama?

Safe to say that's a no.

And you're right, Uruk, I don't think you'd dig on this one, but I'm not gonna prejudge.
