Good call. 1984

I have been sitting on

Metallica - Ride the Lightning  for a while.

I'll take that as my replacement for Titans.

I figured it'd go fast after I picked Master, but as my wife always tells me - you were wrong, dear.

20.35 The Allman Brothers Band - The Allman Brothers Band (1969)

Hadda check 3 times to be sure it werent took. More & more as i grow older, I believe the studio Whipping Post is the greatest culmination of blues' progression into rock. And It's Not My Cross to Bear isnt very far behind at all. Those are my two - linkage later

That Master pick killed me.  But this is my #2 so it was A-OK.

My Metallica plan was to pick RtL immediately after someone else takes Master because I'm sure Justice will go before I'm ready - and if I miss all 3 then wait until end-game and pick something that is almost certainly off everyone else's radar.

Blink-182 Dude Ranch 1997

Dammit

Untitled

I played the hellz outta this, Enema, and another back in my fraternity house back in the late 90's.

I need it, so I better get it now.  And apparently, my dude was right about the aliens!

Another five pack before lunch

Vicious - The older I get the more I can dig on Lou Reed, but we're talking like his very best stuff, like this.  Perfect Day is such a sweet tune it's way up there in my rankings

I PITY THE FOOL -  I don't know this gentleman or how old this is.  I have my own blues guy I'm gonna try and get.  This is solid, I can't find much to hate or love

Sugarfoot -  I even know these guys and I still thought this was JB at first

Run Away With Me - I will Carly but only because you're loaded.  I can sit through this I can sit through this I can sit through this

Is She Really.. - Joe is indeed the man and a good show if they ever start doing those again

21.05, Homogenic - Bjork (1997)

First four songs on this are one of the most transcendent experiences i've had listening to a record. I may appreciate the rest of the album less than i should because i couldnt believe what i'd just heard (i'd never really listened to Bjork before and only bought this because i was captivated by the Hunter video) and stopped the disc to process it and played those 4 over&over&over&over. The counterpoint between acoustic instruments and electronica force me to confer a word i dont use much in the art - composer.

21.24, you're likely fine.

I'm going to have to step out myself and stop steering the draft here in a minute (maybe after my pick...)

Top 5 albums you're most gutted about missing

*Fleetwood Mac - Rumours, but to be fair this is only with hind sight. I was blissfully unaware how stacked this album was til we did this. In the unlikely event it fell i'm not sure I'd have given it an actual look at the time of my pick. It'd have been one those YOU'RE A DAMN FOOL moments once it finally fell off the board.

*Nirvana - Unplugged, I just didn't anticipate this one being on anyone's round 1 radar. Early rounds, yes, which is why I had it teed up - but just wasn't prepared for someone else to have it ready round 1. Shtick or not.

*Chris Cornell - Songbook, seems unfair to list because I wasn't picking it round 2 but when I wrote it in pre-draft round 10 I said to myself this is probably 10 rounds too early and I don't care - I need to have it.

*Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies, fittingly the album I penciled in immediately before Songbook. And said to myself the exact same thing I said about Songbook - this is way too early. Nope, you're wrong!

*Rancid - And Out Come The Wolves, almost got all 3 of my mid 90's punk rock staples. With Songbook and Flies no longer available it had slid up to the round 9/10 turn, but PIK didn't let this one get to me. This led to my weakest pick of the draft taking Billy Joel Live long before planned because I was busy and just panic picked instead of recalibrating. Rookie mistake. I don't think that eff up cost me any picks, but it'd look a whole lot better right about now rather than wedged in between LA Woman and Master

*HM1: Appetite for Destruction, I didn't list it because I knew passing on it round 2 meant it wasn't coming back, so it doesn't seem right to add it to this list.

*HM2a and b'ish: Elvis and Cash. Unlike with Appetite, I did have cracks at them. I didn't think I would, so I didn't consider either one when we started. But as the rounds accumulated and they were still out there I started thinking about them. Then just when I was settling on them they went right in front of me. C'est la'vie

I was too young to get into this when it was released, so I got really into it about 15 years ago, with the context of hearing it as a heavy synth album. So I probably come at it differently than people who were adolescents and into the RAGE that is also here but anyway... I just love the way this sounds and I'm missing some 80s synthy goodness.

21.09 - Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine (1989)

1.    "Head Like a Hole"

2.    "Terrible Lie"

3.    "Down in It"

4.    "Sanctified"

5.    "Something I Can Never Have"

6.    "Kinda I Want To"

7.    "Sin"

8.    "That's What I Get"

9.    "The Only Time"

10.    "Ringfinger"

How many picks do you get per round? It seems like you've picked 5 times since my last pick. :P

1.08 Player Of The Year - Bootsy's Rubber Band (1978)

I had a Bootsy record in college (not this album, the one that came out the following year) that I used to play to my roommates' dismay.  They once tossed it around like a frisbee to keep me from putting it on the turntable.  Fortunately the record survived.

Industrial didn't age well with me, but it was getting increasingly difficult to let the rounds go by and keep not picking this one.
