Joe Biden Ad: “Donald Trump: Too scared to face the people, too weak to lead,” (2 Viewers)

“The nation marches for justice, and like a deer in the headlights, he’s paralysed with fear. He doesn’t know what to do, so he hides in his bunker,”

Who is Biden targeting with this ad?

Is he targeting blacks? That group already supports Biden.

Is he targeting white people who support BLM? That group already supports Biden.

Because if he's targeting white people who don't support BLM, then I don't think this ad will sway many votes. In fact, it may just end up solidifying support for Trump in that demographic.

It might be trying to get Trump supporters, at least those who think he's some type of fearless leader, to open their eyes and see how badly he has been attempting to do the job of president.

Trump supporters aren't exactly fans of BLM. When Trump supporters see an ad that puts a liberal cause in a sympathetic light, then it will tend to push them in the opposite direction.

This ad is a liberal's idea of how a conservative thinks. It makes Biden voters feel good but it won't sway very many Republicans.

I think it's more about keeping the Dem base energized to show up.

Not sure that is possible at this point.

He’s targeting all those who support the protests. That’s something like 74% of the public.

Man, you people have no sense of humor.  I see 407 posts a day about the left doing this, the left doing that, it's the lib playbook, more lib hypocrisy, etc. You have to take it if you're going to dish it out. I at least tried to bring some levity to it, but I guess you'd prefer I just say "Trump supporters approve of everything he does."

I can't really blame you guys for being sensitive, it must be exhausting having to defend the guy every day.

By the way, unload on Biden all you like. I'm not a big fan. Some of you guys should try just honestly approving of some things your party leaders say/do and disapproving of others. It's freeing. Digging your heels in and feeling obligated to insist everything Trump and the GOP does is good and that anything liberal is bad is not only myopic, but surely disingenuous from time to time. I don't know how anyone agrees 100% of the time with any party or politician on any level. I'll never understand it. I guess it's a need to be right or to be part of something bigger that drives it until it becomes your identity. I feel for people on both sides that seem to lack any semblance of objectivity, everything is agenda-driven.

I have lots of conservative views/ideas, I just think Trump is wildly unfit to lead anything, let alone a nation.

I know what you're doing here, but it just makes me chuckle rather than get anboyed. No one is triggered by Trump anymore, it's all predictable and old hat by now.
“I’m ......not....TRIGGERED!”

Sure thing fella great posts.....enjoy your weekend melting down over Trump.  Maybe start another thread bashing him and the same five guys with their 3 aliases will chime in repeating the same things over and over. Fun!😂

I've been on this board for ages, man.

I'm a right-winger, and I'm actually getting kind of excited about voting against Trump -- this will probably be the first D vote of my lifetime.  I really can't imagine that the Democratic base needs a lot firing-up.
I'm with you. Thing is, in the long run, if the Dems continue to go towards full on socialism, we're all ####ed.

I actually enjoyed him calling out some of the ridiculous celebrities and career politicians who lie to us everyday......buts it just been too much....and honestly, his rhetoric can get mentally unstable people to do bad things.....I can't reconcile that.

Will be my first time ever  that I will be voting for a Democrat as well. I haven’t been this anxious for any date (for the opportunity to vote against this clown) since I was a kid waiting for Christmas morning to see what Santa brought me. And yes I am preparing myself for that possibility of  lump of coal (a Trump victory) I suppose you and I are the only former Republicans that will be voting blue in the nation?

Totally understand your point....

For me, it's hard because I don't agree with the direction of the democratic party at all.  The democratic socialism and these "woke" college kids who hate America, and Christians don't do it for me.......our forefathers came up with a good plan, they didn't live it completely because not everyone was considered eligible, which is bull####!

Just as Trump's rhetoric is dangerous, so is the moral and intellectual superiority of the left.  We truly are in a better place in many ways, but marginalizing middle America is not going bring the country together.....did the left not learn from '16?  If you keep calling people ignorant, racist rednecks, who don't see themselves as such, you are going to get people who dig in....I think the "woke" culture fails to understand this from the cities.

To me it just reinforces thr negativity and hatred which motivates the left.  Of all the things to attack Trump on, being weak is probably more associated with Biden, which probably explains the ad.  They had nothing to convince us that Biden is strong, so they paint Trump as weak.

We're not melting down, we're laughing at him. He's a joke. Fun! :D

The only reason I take him remotely seriously is because he got handed a Presidency by the Russians. Otherwise the guy's a grade A clown, I find his antics hilarious. Watch him try to put sentences together - comedy gold. Walking around with toilet paper stuck to his shoes, the dippy "hairdo", the badly executed fake tan, the ill fitting clothes, talking about himself as if he's some wonderful thing all the while he's an obviously miserable person, the wife who won't even touch him and obviously uses him for money and status while he thinks she's really into him, the juvenile tweets (sometimes incoherent), on and on and on - it's like Benny Hill on steroids. He's ridiculous, how can you not laugh at him?
It is nothing like Benny Hill.  The humor against Trump is almost entirely malicious humor which feeds anger and hatred.  Benny Hill humor was more self-deprecating, satire, slap-stick and healing type humor which is actially funny and isn't feeding hatred and division.

He invites the ridicule Jon, constantly.

As for Benny Hill's brand of humor, I can imagine women would take issue with your "isn't feeding hatred and division" take.

Also, it seems ironic to me to complain about other people directing anger and hatred towards Trump, when he and his supporters generate more of that per capita than most groups of people you could consider.

Hopefully the Biden camp is smart enough to know that people still supporting Trump aren't worth trying to convert.  It's about energizing the other 60% to come out and vote against him.

Me too. The people calling anyone that disagreed with Trump "snowflakes" and screaming about participation trophies for a decade now call anyone who points out Trump’s absurdities "triggered" while Trump is constantly crying about things being unfair on Twitter. It's hilarious. :lmao:
