Seriously why can’t I access the Forbes article anymore?  That could have led to a nice little uptick tomorrow.  Author get in trouble for trying to pimp his own stock?

Fact that it  wasn't CYDY or one of the others would I think knock down the SP of all of them tomorrow since they weren't anointed and also it will take a little time before folks figure out the breakthrough is not a breakthrough.

 
So, theories on what happened to the article?

1. Author did not disclose stock ownership in original write-up, and doing so after the fact was too late.
2. Forbes informed that something in article not factually correct.
3. Forbes informed by a gov official that this was bad form on a day when Administration is announcing a therapy or therapies.
4. Forbes did not like tone in the article.
5. Forbes published it accidentally before having it go through internal review.

A "glass half full" possibility is that the Administration will indeed mention LL today and does not want the appearance of working with anybody at Forbes, and does not want to be scooped by Forbes.

Still, when the story of CYDY is written someday, this will be yet another interesting wrinkle.

 
I don’t think Forbes owes the federal government anything. They can tell them to piss right off. I am certain it was #1. When I read the article I was surprised there was no disclaimer on his stock ownership. 

 
THERE REALLY IS A COVID THERAPY THAT WORKS. IT'S CALLED LERONLIMAB.

Imagine if Covid-19 was just a bad cold. 176,000 Americans might not have died. We would not have destroyed the economy. Twenty millions Americans would not have lost their jobs or shut down their businesses. Debt and deficits would not be exploding - putting generations at risk. Covid -19 needs to go away but a vaccine might not be the answer to our emergency. We need an effective treatment now, one that reduces Covid-19 to a common cold. CytoDyn's molecule, Leronlimab, does just that.

Vaccines, which are all the talk, might not be around the corner. There is still no HIV/AIDS Vaccine after huge sums of money spent by the government. Now the government is spending huge sums of money again in search of a Covid vaccine. One might eventually emerge but when it does , production has to be scaled up because most people will need to take it....repeatedly. And the vaccine maker will somehow need to account for the fact the virus mutates. That all represents a very long and complicated process that ultimately, may or may not work.

Leronlimab is a monoclonal antibody knocking on the door of an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the FDA. President Trump has scheduled a press conference today to announce a "breakthrough" therapy. It has to be Leronlimab whose owner, CytoDyn (CYDY) just presented favorable data from a double blinded placebo controlled study. It is the only drug to have done so. The drug showed efficacy and safety in a difficult population to address: mild to moderate patients. So while Gilead's (GILD) Remdesivir (the only other drug with an EUA for Covid), remains controversial, there's an opening for something better and Leronlimab certainly is that.

Leronlimab has the coolest sounding function: it calms the cytokine storm. As you probably know, the Covid-19 virus is not as bad for you as your body's immune response to it. It sets off a reaction that gets out of control, especially in the lungs. The virus invades the body infecting, injuring and killing cells. This causes infection. The injured cells scream "help" by releasing cytokines. Cytokines summon chermokines which rush to fight the infection but this causes more infection in a vicious cycle. In severe Covid disease, a "cytokine storm" takes place in the lungs causing acute respiratory distress syndrome. Leronlimab calms the cytokine storm and it does so in three days. It has provide to be a life saver. If approved, it will also save the economy.

Leronlimab is an injectable - a subcutaneous shot, like insulin-which means it can be administered in an outpatient setting, without a hospital stay. In the trial it stopped mild to moderate patients form getting worse, dramatically accelerating their time to recovery. Plus, there's an adequate supply to meet current demand. Gilead's Remdesivir has unsavory side effects, nebulous efficacy and requires an IV and a hospital admission. Its side effects alone are enough to prevent broad use.

CytoDyn is an underdog, rarely mentioned in the press, while the government behaves like a child in a scary movie throwing billions of dollars at politically connected pharmaceutical companies. A feeding fenzy has developed as "promising" vaccines and treatments vie for attention from the government and investors. In May, Moderna (MRNA) launched a press release announcing partial, unsubstantiated results from a trial sending the stock soaring and insiders selling. Gilead has eight paid consultants on the scientific advisory committee assembled to help the government for a Covid response.

Meanwhile, obscure, OTC - listed CytoDyn has a dramatic immediate future as it expects a FDA decision on the Emergency Use Authorization any day now. Trump has foreshadowed today's presser describing a therapy just like Leronlimab (An HIV drug administered by shot with results within three days). The largest company on the fringe OTC market, CytoDyn, hopes to be able to "uplist" on the Nasdaq within the next couple of weeks.

Let's hope it happens. Leronlimab works and we need it now.

I'm still holding out hope that there will be more than just the Plasma announced today. Slim hope but we'll see soon

Hmm..  Dr. Saphier is a regular (as in every day since March), covid-19 contributor on Fox news.  She's on just about every show they have throughout the day when they're discussing the virus.  Interesting mention of LL there.  Fingers crossed.  

 
Trump did mention in his talks transfusions and a shot when he was touting the great new therapies that were being developed.

No. It’s not gonna happen. All of you dreamers just need to stop with this. It ain’t happening for CYDY with Covid.

How do I know this? Because my whole life has been a bunch of almost’s and maybe-next-times.  I’m just one of those dudes who has come up from the school of hard knocks where it literally is one hard knock after another. 

So for the first time in my life I decide to invest in stocks. This one of all things. It’s been a complete comedy since I got in.

THIS GUY - meaning me - does not win at stuff like this. You all need to get out and just take whatever profits you can muster. All the while I will sit here drink a cold beer and watch baseball. Because that is what I am good at.

If it were to happen the best part would be that he would overpronounce LE-RON-LI-MAB. He’ll say it twice. And he’ll call it a beautiful drug. 

 
Has Trump mentioned anything that works?  

I mean, surely him mentioning leronlimab would be the kiss of death in terms of efficacy.  He's got a knack for getting almost everything wrong with Covid-19...

See this is definitely the other thing. #1 everything he promotes doesn’t work/sucks. #2 would people want to invest in something he promotes, knowing #1? I’m not sure him speaking on it is a sure thing for investors.
 

Definitely better than the sinking ship we’ve been on lately but not sure the stock takes off like some think.

I agree with you in principle but also 100% sure this would be better PR than a Proactive video.    

 
Have we discussed that if the FDA is going to give EUA for plasma, which has had no good data from a controlled trial, that this opens up the floodgates for other emerging therapies?

This news today may still be promising even if we don't get a mention.

Trump wouldn't be a kiss of death for CYDY for the same reason we're all still holding......the science. 

The left. The right. Medical doctors. Patients. Basically everyone would look into CYDY and see what we've seen so far.

It's a good point.  Didn't the FDA tell Cytodyn that the results of the EINDs  were good but it wasn't a controlled study, so no dice?  So today they are going to announce that they are approving emergency use of plasma... without a controlled study.  The hypocrisy is palpable.  

 
If leronlimab is not given EUA at this point, then yes, there is a deep conspiracy.  Feel like we should be days away now.  Let the doctors decide.
