prog, hill country funk?...if you had to label...but yes really good music from Trenton Ayers and Cedric Burnside, The Cedric Burnside project, I agree. That's really good stuff - I wouldn't say that would be a sign of regression.
Not sure that constitutes prog rock as we think of it, but I've never been a big fan of ringfencing labels around music genres anyway.
Um, what? Not sure what that clip has to do with prog rock, but okay.I bring this as evidence prog rock did...happen...and improve the environment for air breathers... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSURe8Iw6dg

OP has no idea what prog rock is. Maybe some intensive Rush would enlighten him.You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

You think that girl looks anything like Billy Squier? You must be even older than I thought. But i swear the intro girl in that vid is Squire in drag
May I suggest some Kleenex and moist towelettes, then?i am Aqualung
But Rick Wakeman and his flying cape still had not arrived.Steve Howe is the most important person in music that nobody knows and the best add in band history. His rhythm leads in this, his first showcase as Yes axman, are as important as Keith Richards and his texture fills as dense as Jimmy Page's.
that pimps my assertion even more. whatshisname doing his JonLordLite B3 squeezins instead of Dik Bakeman's six hands o' wizardy, but now it's Yes!, ya?But Rick Wakeman and his flying cape still had not arrived.
That seems cruel.OP has no idea what prog rock is. Maybe some intensive Rush would enlighten him.

Saw Rush a couple dozens times between 76 and 79, Yes, probably 15, Utopia 6 to 8, Gentle Giant a few, Rennaissance a few, so I appreciate the beginning of prog rock along with the original hard rock bands which Rush was early, don't listen to much after that. This was kind of an in jest / in drunky musical post. I think their has been some very funny and interesting posts. Good times.OP has no idea what prog rock is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD3nMUcZWoIPlease listen with headphones ,Marantz through solid speaks etc...no preconcieved notions on bandname please, and give song time to develop ...this is 45 + year old music...before pop singer added...metal fusion for me but what say ye'? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If1LFy2Y9RE&list=RDDFiTTj_B2ek&index=2
