Genrepalooza Presents: FG Radio - Tons of Lithium but very little Chill (5 Viewers)

It could have been put in there. Actually, most of the songs by Jimmy Buffett in Margaritaville aren't about getting wasted. Two are about smuggling, and some of the others mention having a drink(s), but the premise of the songs aren't about getting drunk. I know that is the perception many have of him and his songs, but he is much more than that, and I made it a point to put some songs on the playlist to show that. I doubt though that many will listen to the playlist, but Dr. O knows what I'm talkin' about. I know what you mean though.
I listened to a few of those songs, simey. They weren't bad. The one that you pointed out that was a singer/songwriter sort of depressing one stood out. "He Went To Paris" is the one.

I just posted the lyrics  "his summers and winters, scattered like splinters, and four to five years slipped away..." regarding the tune. That must have depressed you.

It did. 😪

Well, the war took his baby
Bombs killed his lady
And left him with only one eye
His body was battered
His whole world was shattered
And all he could do was just cry

Well, the war took his baby
Bombs killed his lady
And left him with only one eye
His body was battered
His whole world was shattered
And all he could do was just cry
As the tears were a fallin'

he was recallin'

the answers he never found

so he hopped on a freighter

skidded the ocean, and left England without a sound

Since no one likely remembers them all, here are the Dylan songs (performed by Dylan) that have been taken for other channels

Idiot Wind
Isis (live)
I Threw It All Away
Jokerman
Lay Lady Lay
Like a Rolling Stone (live)
Must Be Santa
My Wife's Hometown
Pressing On

Also The Band's version of I Shall Be Released, the Turtles' version of It Ain't Me Babe and Hendrix' version of All Along the Watchtower. Maybe some other covers that I don't remember.

Yeah.  It's supposed to be in the low 70s so I'll read in the backyard and take a long walk.  Grammy is coming over for dinner so I won't be the oldest person.

Bosley died on my birthday last year so I've been telling Louis he has one job.
No pressure on Louis!

Happy birthday!!

Happy Birthday, Eephus! May you have many returns.

My daughter may be the only person other than RA who's sad to see BPM going away.  It was tough to get her to narrow it down to two bonus picks

Big Data (feat. Joywave) - Dangerous (Oliver Remix)

Martin Solveig - Intoxicated - New Radio Mix
I am sad. Shame to see it over so early. I had plenty more picks and had trouble narrowing it down, too.

I really liked the Big Data song. Way to go, Daughter Eeph.

Tomorrow we get a crack at Dylan radio. For sure.

I've got this Dylan joint narrowed down to songs off of only two separate albums. That's a very good start on the morning.
Been a hectic morning in virtual school world for me today so haven’t had much time to think...just going to go with the first new to me Dylan song that hooked me off the first Dylan album I ever bought
