Genrepalooza Presents: FG Radio - Tons of Lithium but very little Chill (1 Viewer)

Round 209.xx

Category: Bob Dylan Radio

Song: Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues

Okay, before I dither about this much longer, this wins the tiebreak for being a notable vocal sample in Beastie Boys's "Finger Licking Good" off of Check Your Head.

From the same album as @Ilov80schose from. Earlier this morning, I was going to say how I'd just pick this whole album. It's probably (Highway 61 Revisited) my favorite next to The Times They Are-A Changin'

Here's a link to the sample and BB song. https://youtu.be/E_W2WtHOxH4?t=169

Since I still don't know what PopRocks is, I could also move "The World Tonight" from Paul, which actually did chart in the top 100 and is a little more rocking but I took earlier for the Beatles channel, to PopRocks and then use the one I just took for the Beatles channel.  Let me know if you guys have a preference on what fits better.
This was my greatest discovery from your solo Beatles countdown. The whole Flaming Pie album was but this song in particular I love. In fact I'm listening to PopRocks now on shuffle and when it came up, I couldn't help but smile.

Does anyone remember on an episode of Cheers (Veggie Boyd) Frasier hypnotized Lilith, and if he said tambourine she would start taking off her shirt? At the end of the episode someone played Mr. Tambourine Man on the jukebox, and she started undressing. They cut that part out of the reruns/dvd. 👎

No, I don't. But that's hilarious. Boo on the DVD and the censors.

Great song and cover, too.

That's one of the better vocal samples ever - it fit in so well.
Yeah, I dug it at the time and have pleasant memories of college and post-college when I think of it. We were stuck in Central New York for school, and I lived in a small town, too, so I used to enjoy the line...

I'm goin' back to New York City I do believe I've had enough.

I just called the vet's office, cause I have heard nothing back about his results this week. The asst. told me they still haven't gotten his results back. She said they were sent to Texas A&M, and they have had delays, and it says "still processing." They are hoping they will have them back by the end of the week. ☹️  I told her he is still barely eating his food, and is mainly getting by on the rebound liquid supplement. His demeanor is ok, and he is being playful, but his weight is continuing to go down. She said she or the vet would get back to me today.  This #### sucks.
