I have my smaller dog beside me here, like I do basically every night. She is just the best. Monday was the 1 year anniversary of the day we got her ("gotcha day") and the day we dubbed her birthday,

Job interview next week

Tough choices here as I kind of want to draft from all 4 but I will say goodbye to probably my favorite channel

Rd 229: Quicksand by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas

More women for the draft though I don’t think Soul was one of the playlists that had issues with a lack of ladies

Yeah I used to not ignore anyone with the idea of wanting to hear all sides, etc. But in the last couple years the trolls have come out in full force and it’s just toxic. I have no problem ignoring people now.

Round 229:

Don't Worry Be Happy

Wake Up Sunshine -- Chicago

I first thought of this when considering stuff for Summerpalooza, but looking at the lyrics, it's a love song that doesn't really have anything to do with the sun or nature, so it fits better here. "Sunshine" refers to the narrator's lover, not the sun itself.

I think mine is lower than I expected too.   I relate to NV's post in that I listen to a ton of female artists now, and they dominate what I have been listening to for the last couple years (mostly as I get into more pop) - everything from Tori to Snailmail to Sleater-Kinney to Katy Perry.     I think since I listen to so much now, my digging deeper is going back to the dudes.

229.k4  Drake - What's Next  (The Heat)

This song is currently played approximately every 20 minutes on The Heat channel.  I'm not taking any Beatles-related music in this category, but in 2019 Drake got a tattoo of the Beatles crossing Abbey Road with himself leading the way in front of John.

  Though dinner was actually at more like the 25 yard line.

Was there an event going on there or something?

There's a series of dinners there with local chefs coming for one night and preparing a four-course meal.  I read about it and hopped on one with a favorite chef.  They sold out immediately, so I'm happy to have jumped on it in time.  I also was given the opportunity to kick a field goal, but it was pouring rain at that point and I didn't do it.

Round 229.xx

Category: Don't Worry, Be Happy

Song: Flower Tattoo

Artist: Down By Law

Probably the poppiest, sunniest punk song ever written.

Hair is gold and her eyes are blue
I'm in love with the girl with the flower tattoo
And if I wrote he perfect song
You know I'd name it after you...

Not the most controversial Drake tattoo, though.

This one caused a bit of a firestorm.

Ah, I see.  We were told not to take alcoholic drinks outside of the dining area, but I guess we weren't supposed to take anything (we didn't anyway),
