Don't let the noise from the dance club get to you over the acoustic sets.I'll be hanging out in Willie's Roadhouse.
To each their own. That is the 1 category I am not considering.Raging weasel said:And my thoughts were- 2 more Pearl Jam it is!
Hey- we don't judge things in these drafts!Ilov80s said:The soul playlist is fantastic. I might need to rank the playlists once we get a little further along. Also, I might be up late enough tonight to see the rolling of the dice!
All we need now is someone saying they'll be making 2 classical picks. (Not me, I'm doing 2 PJ or 1 PJ and 1 Willie.)To each their own. That is the 1 category I am not considering.
The walls are thick. That noise won't be leaking in.Don't let the noise from the dance club get to you over the acoustic sets.
The first music festival I went to had AWOLNation playing at the height of the popularity of "Sail" (sorry Turbo spotlighting), so they were on a main stage... the heavy heavy synths in their music overpowered/drowned out everything else and it wasn''t even close. The walls are thick. That noise won't be leaking in.Don't let the noise from the dance club get to you over the acoustic sets.
I am either going 2 BPM or 2 Classical. Just depends on my mood tomorrow. All we need now is someone saying they'll be making 2 classical picks. (Not me, I'm doing 2 PJ or 1 PJ and 1 Willie.)
If I weren't going insane due to two moves in six days Dec. 22 and 28 (mine and my mom's), I'd swoop in and do this for giggles.Pip's Invitation said:You could draft Doug B's multitude of missing picks.

62 new picks! My godOr Abrantes and have the full draft at your feet.
No walls, though. Willie's Roadhouse could have The Wall by Johnny Cash, but I already chose if for Comes Alive!, I think. The first music festival I went to had AWOLNation playing at the height of the popularity of "Sail" (sorry Turbo spotlighting), so they were on a main stage... the heavy heavy synths in their music overpowered/drowned out everything else and it wasn''t even close.
I'm not lying when I say that I thought of him tonight and was going to @Abrantesto make sure our boy is doing well. Abrantes, give us a ring!Or Abrantes and have the full draft at your feet.
Similarly, it suggested I listed to Todd Rundgren's I Saw the Light, despite having listened to it constantly since age 16-ish on other formats.Speaking of which, Spotify is so cute. It thinks I should check out Johnny Cash because I haven't done so on Spotify yet. Oh, Spotify...you dreamy algorithm privacy invading follow me around the internet, you...you're such a charmer.
I think the unified belt was passed from Elvis-->Beatles-->Stones-->U2 which takes us up to around the mid-90s. Rock Music like boxing has suffered from fragmentation and disinterest since then. I blame Ugly Kid Joe for everything since 1991.Ilov80s said:Somewhat unrelated and totally not real, but if there was a title of "Best Rock Band in the World", who holds is the lineal champion right now? I have my answer but I am curious who others think as the best pure rock band out there today. Not talking technically the best or has the best body of work, but who is at their peak, is making the best music and doing it in a fashion that really represents the time and place.
Yep. I had put in my post that I'd listened to him since my early twenties, largely on cassette, but it interrupted the flow of the post so I just decided to leave it out. But I can remember the Rubin/Cash period pretty well, which caused me to look into Folsom and San Quentin, a cassette you could get for $3.99 at participating Strawberries record stores.Similarly, it suggested I listed to Todd Rundgren's I Saw the Light, despite having listened to it constantly since age 16-ish on other formats.
I could have sworn I heard this song while listening to the playlist last week.Raging weasel said:

Yikes. Mary and Joseph had nothing on you.If I weren't going insane due to two moves in six days Dec. 22 and 28 (mine and my mom's), I'd swoop in and do this for giggles.
I think you could argue for Foo Fighters from 1997 to 2010-ish. After that it's definitely a hot mess.I think the unified belt was passed from Elvis-->Beatles-->Stones-->U2 which takes us up to around the mid-90s. How close will your mom's house be to yours? If I weren't going insane due to two moves in six days Dec. 22 and 28 (mine and my mom's), I'd swoop in and do this for giggles.
Acoustic, Jazz, Outlaw Country and Studio 54 are still hanging out in the green room. Waylon is going to kill some disco kids when the coke runs out.Don't let the noise from the dance club get to you over the acoustic sets.
Radiohead and Jack White's various permutations may have had a claim to the belt at some point.I think you could argue for Foo Fighters from 1997 to 2010-ish. After that it's definitely a hot mess.
It's funny how stuff goes forever before getting rolled and then appears two or three times in quick succession. This has happened to The Joint, Underground Garage, Pearl Jam and probably others.Acoustic, Jazz, Outlaw Country and Studio 54 are still hanging out in the green room. Our new houses will be 1.5 miles apart! They are moving over to my town, and I'm happy about that. After not living in the same state as my Mom since I was 17, she and my stepfather moved out here five years ago, and we were two miles apart. She didn't quite get the idea that you just cannot "drop by" my house unexpectedly and have me be happy about it, especially since I work from home, but I think I trained her. Then we both moved 2-3 years ago and right now we're an hour apart, which isn't the best. They are in their mid/late 70s, and even though healthy and fine, it would feel better to have them closer for when they hit the point of needing my help. How close will your mom's house be to yours?
Dice don't lieIt's funny how stuff goes forever before getting rolled and then appears two or three times in quick succession. This has happened to The Joint, Underground Garage, Pearl Jam and probably others.
I wondered if Outlaw Country were even on the list. It's a great channel!Acoustic, Jazz, Outlaw Country and Studio 54 are still hanging out in the green room. Waylon is going to kill some disco kids when the coke runs out.
You mean we have Willie's Roadhouse and Outlaw Country? Ay de mi, those have to overlap at some point.I wondered if Outlaw Country were even on the list. It's a great channel!
