Georgia: the Battle for the Senate (2 Viewers)

Both races were incredibly close in November, and since then, it's been more questions than answers.
Except Collins was in it with Loeffler and seems she's be more likely to get more of his votes. I assumed GOP would take both , but wit this election fraud kerfuffle, I have no idea.

If you add the total votes that went to R candidates in the original election, it was remarkably close to the total number of votes that went to D candidates.  I imagine the votes that went to other D candidates are more likely to go to Warnock, similar to the votes for Collins are more likely to go to Loeffler.

This is the best "results" list I could find: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020–21_United_States_Senate_special_election_in_Georgia#Results

Using those results, I get:
R - 2,426,120
D - 2,378,312
L - 35,431
Ind - 59,205
Green - 15,293

In other words, it's going to be close.
If you assume that the Greens go 95% D and the Libertarians go 95% R, and you split the independents 50/50.......the Dems will need to convince around 33,000 Republicans to flip (or convince 66,000 of them to not vote).

Georgia turned out 67% in the 2020 General.  There's still people out there.  If anyone can do it, Abrams can.

I don't think polls or betting lines are giving us very high-quality information right now.

Just shrugging and saying "50-50" isn't necessarily the most rigorous analysis either, but it seems at least as good as polls or betting lines.

At this point in the game, unless  you're giving it away for a vote; it's not going to mean as much.
Although when the D's win without as much "voter enthusiasm" ...I'm sure that 4x the money difference will be a key tentpole in the Republican legal challenges.

I was happy that Georgia ended up rejecting Trump and was only mildly surprised.

If both Dems win I will be shocked.  Like Clark Griswold waking up with his head sewn to the carpet shocked.

I am skeptical of that happening, but the GOP war on dark money would be another great example of how this year has shown that the GOP really doesn’t believe in any political philosophy or policies beyond perpetuating its own power.

It's almost as if Loeffler and Perdue have some sort of zany side bet going where they each try and outdo the other by doing something incredibly stupid (posing for pictures with KKK leaders who are convicted felons) or reckless (trading on insider information) while still holding the lead in their re-election bids.

Loeffler isn't even attempting to hide her racism anymore....
I honestly don’t think any of this stuff matters.  People in Georgia aren’t really voting for Loeffler/Perdue/Ossoff/Warnock.  They’re deciding between McConnell and Shumer for Majority Leader.

Agreed, which is why I said it's almost as if Loeffler and Perdue have a zany side wager going on.  They can break the law and pose with Klan leaders and still get voted in as US Senators.

All the media coverage of “in-fighting” is going to look silly. No way Republican voters don’t turn out for this.
I am not so sure. Trump voters didn't turn out as strongly in 2018 when Trump wasn't on the ballot. Traditional GOP voters are likely to turn out. Although some of them are never Trumpers who might not vote for these enablers. I think the new voters Trump has brought out don't turn out.

“What a fool Governor @BrianKempGA of Georgia is. Could have been so easy, but now we have to do it the hard way. Demand this clown call a Special Session and open up signature verification, NOW. Otherwise, could be a bad day for two GREAT Senators on January 5th.” I

Over 100,000 Who Didn’t Vote In Presidential Election Have Requested Ballots For Georgia Senate Runoffs

Some interesting snippets:

  • As of early Wednesday afternoon, 102,609 Georgians who didn’t vote in the presidential race had requested a mail-in ballot, making up about 6.5% of all mail-in requests.
  • The demographics of those voters skew toward more traditionally Democratic groups compared with those who requested ballots after voting in the presidential race.
  • Non-white voters make up over 60% of the ballot requests among those who didn’t vote in the presidential race, while white voters make up a majority (52%) of mail-in requests among those who voted for president.
  • More than 28% of ballot requests from those who didn’t vote in the presidential race have come from voters age 39 or younger, compared with 18% of the requests from those who did vote.
Trump and others in his administration are now actively pushing for Republicans to request mail-in ballots for the Georgia Senate races, in a major break from earlier messaging to vote only in person. It doesn’t appear that message has connected particularly well yet, since only 2.3% of those that have requested a mail-in ballot voted on Election Day, according to georgiavotes.com, which pulls information from the Georgia secretary of state.

Do you think the video proves statistically significant fraud?

Any voter fraud, from any party, is an act of treason. Every person in America should have their political voice heard if they choose to participate and have those votes counted fairly and accurately. This extends beyond Donald Trump, this specific election, the Georgia runoff and Orange Man Bad.

This video is the body cam footage of the altercation between Warnock and his wife Ouleye Ndoye Warnock

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwiEAOrLSaE

Does this video prove or disprove that Warnock is a domestic abuser? I could be a political tribalist and say it does, but I won't. But I also won't discount the entire possibility that he is actually a domestic abuser.

"All women suffering from domestic violence should be believed!" screams the woke lefty cancel culture commandos. The exception being, apparently, that it should only apply to conservatives. Where is the Democratic Party outrage to this claim of domestic abuse? Nydoye is literally on camera claiming as such.

You already decided voter fraud didn't happen period. Never mind the statistical drop for the time frame that ballots were shoved in by four people AFTER everyone was told to leave, and after dragging those ballots hidden under a table ended up in a 98 percent vote drop for Biden, which is statistically and mathematically impossible. All recognized understanding of mathematics, statistics and data analysis of elections say there was election fraud. You can't fight the math, no one  can fight the math.

What you fail to recognize is the voters who were cheated and disenfranchised the most by this clear election fraud were actually the legitimate Biden voters out there. Those who cleanly voted for Biden have all their votes, their political voice, placed under doubt. This election fraud robs actual Biden voters of their dignity through marring their collective integrity.

You endorse treason and cast it aside as merely the cost of doing business. You've become a traitor to every actual true Biden voter on the planet. Political tribalism sells one's integrity for cheap, but that's not the real tragedy, the tragedy is they give up their dignity for free.

You set your dignity on fire for an orange man you say you despise. How does doing that make the world a better place and actually make you whole?

Again, you’re just making things up (or parroting alt-right websites) and buying into conspiracies that completely fall when scrutiny is applied.  You are a numbers guys - heck I have relied on your work product for years so I know you’re good - but Trump’s 1-62 court record when these absurd claims apparently hasn’t dented your enthusiasm for buying in.

The orange man bad line is so silly and is practically a badge identifying anyone who uses it as being in the Cult of Trump.  Save yourself.

Best to not respond when a post is full of false and inflammatory accusations about supporting treason.  Such a nice Christmas message.

Bums me out that what I deemed a friendship in the past has turned into this.  Not sure where it went wrong but bums me out all the same.  Have a good christmas.
Not a comment on our friendship, but surely you're aware that there've been Democrat klan members in congress right?  I've never been bothered by any politician (on either side) who is "caught" being photographed with someone else. Merry Christmas to you as well GB.

I’d like it to be known that I love both of you fine fellows and hope you both have very Merry Christmases and Happy New Yearses.

“This man’s running for United States Senate, and all he cares about right now is his reputation. I work at the mayor’s office. This is a big problem. I’ve been trying to be very quiet about the way that he is for the sake of my kids and his reputation....I’ve been trying to keep the way that he acts under wraps for a long time, and today he crossed the line,” she continued .... “So that is what is going on here. And he’s a great actor. He is phenomenal at putting on a really good show.”

Remarks by the President and Vice President at Signing of the Violence Against Women Act

Interior Department Washington, D.C.

THE VICE PRESIDENT (Biden): "Those of you who have been around a while with me know that I quote my father all the time who literally would say, the greatest sin that could be committed, the cardinal sin of all sins was the abuse of power, and the ultimate abuse of power is for someone physically stronger and bigger to raise their hand and strike and beat someone else.  In most cases that tends to be a man striking a woman.......And by the way, if you ever want a partner to get anything important done, call Nancy Pelosi.  Call Nancy Pelosi....

THE PRESIDENT (Obama):Finally, I want to thank Joe Biden for being such an outstanding Vice President.  (Applause.)  That's right, you can stand for Joe.  Stand for Joe.  (Applause.)  Give it up for Joe Biden.  (Applause.)  Joe is a hardworking Vice President.

AUDIENCE:  Yes, he is!

THE PRESIDENT (Obama):  And he told me when he agreed -- when I asked him to be Vice President, he said, well, I don't want to just be sitting around.  (Laughter.)  I said, I promise you I won't let you just sit around.  (Laughter.)  And he has not.  He has played a key role in forging the gun safety reforms that I talked about, largely by working closely with survivors of gun violence and their families.  He (Biden) forged the Violence Against Women Act 20 years ago -- never forgetting who it was all about. (Applause.)

Biden said we need to 'keep punching at' domestic violence, and the internet was not amused

Michelle Mark  Nov 20, 2019, 8:06 PM

"Former Vice President Joe Biden made a clumsy attempt Wednesday at condemning domestic violence, vowing to "keep punching at it and punching at it and punching at it" as the audience at the Democratic presidential debate stifled laughter.

Biden was asked during the evening's debate about how to address sexual violence, and he immediately mentioned that he created legislation addressing violence against women, known as the Violence Against Women Act.

But then he quickly veered into a tangent about combating domestic violence.

"No man has a right to raise a hand to a woman in anger, other than in self-defense, and that's rarely ever occurred," he said. "And so we have to just change the culture. Period. And keep punching at it and punching at it and punching at it. It's a gigantic issue."

The audience could be heard laughing during his remarks.

The gaffe quickly sparked mockery and derision online, with Twitter users criticizing Biden's unfortunate choice of words."

So hold your nose and vote for Warnock or Loeffler?

Kelly Loeffler is a total mess. When my godson was in elementary school, I wouldn't even have given Loeffler a job as a lunch lady there. She does own a WNBA team ( so no one can say Loeffler doesn't give to charity...) and anyone associated with that is just a hyper realized form of unintentional cringe comedy. The WNBA has lost money every year of operation, only surviving via charity from the NBA coffers, and could barely average 1000 fans per game, then decided to stop playing and wear T shirts decrying the shooting of Jacob Blake. Clearly not even using Google for the 2 minutes it would take to find out Blake had a warrant out for sexually assaulting women. Loeffler had to vote like other WNBA owners to woke up the WNBA to impress fans who were never going to show up and never watch the games. The real horror is that the parent NBA's total fanbase is about 32 percent women. So how do you supporting someone who sexually assaults women in a woke league full of women screaming social justice while doing so punishes the fanbase of the parent company that's been subsiding your losses for decades? Loeffler is a part of that.

But it's not so much about Loeffler and Warnock ( nor Perdue and Ossof who are also both gigantic messes) as it's about control of the Senate. And whether you believe Joe Biden has dementia or not. ( i.e. does he have real agency in his decision making).  Since the HOR is 222-212, AOC controls 8 votes ( legacy Squad and new freshmen class) from her Progressive/GND/Socialist faction. She also controls, via Sanders and Warren, two progressive votes in the Senate.

Cocaine Mitch and Joe Biden have a long history. If the GOP controls the Senate and Biden has cognitive agency, I can see them both coming to terms and cutting deals to save their own personal political legacies. Also Biden might survive long enough to run for reelection and he can't endure the optics of the pandemic fueled recession he's inheriting PLUS a stonewalled Senate. They'll cut deals to edge out the desires of the woke radical left and the Progressives. Which serves the desires of the Obama/Biden camp anyway because they despise AOC ( They see her as the young loud brown girl just good enough to clean their toilets, not actually have a real political voice) .

If the DNC controls the Senate and Biden does NOT have cognitive agency, then that means POTUS is controlled by proxy by some unelected cabal of interests. Likely led by Obama himself and/or Kamala Harris. Obama can only hold his legacy together by shielding the ACA. If Obamacare dies, his desire to be seen like a Winston Churchhill or Julius Caesar dies with it. ( Point to note, nothing Obama has done politically would ever put him in the same league as Caesar and Churchhill. )  So you'd see horse trading to keep Obamacare alive. Which would include limiting down on appeasing the woke radical left and anything controversial to stop a Biden/Harris reelection.

The key point is ANY politician will try to screw the American people at large. Could be Trump, could be Biden, or Obama or W. Bush or Clinton. They would all be happy to feed their wealthy corporate cronies and let us all starve and die. They are all sitting in the Death Star, the rest of us are on Alderaan waiting to get lit up like a Xmas tree.

My take?

If you believe Biden does not have dementia, you take Loeffler/Perdue.

If you believe Biden does have dementia, you take Warnock/Ossoff

What a total ##### show that Georgia has become.  Loeffler, Perdue, Warnock, Ossoff, Raffensperger, Kemp, Totenberg, Stacey Abrams and all the rest. I mean you couldn't get David Simon, David Mamet, Aaron Sorkin, Michael Chabon, Frank Miller, Nora Ephron, Dennis Lehane and David Chase all together to write a bigger unintentional comedy of tragic self destruction by so many self serving narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths in one place.

What is going on in Georgia is not politics. It's a real life failed Kevin Smith script that even a desperate rapist like Harvey Weinstein wouldn't make.
