American Capitalism Produces Yet Another Vaccine (1 Viewer)

Moderna Vaccine Approval

There are 193 countries in the world.  The USA is now affiliated with BOTH of the first two vaccines that will be/are widely accepted.

Is this just a mathematical miracle or does the USA's capitalistic economic system just happen to be a root cause for us saving the world?

Maybe its time for 80 million Americans to reconsider the party they voted for this past election.

Cliff's notes:  Capitalism is the cure and Socialism is the disease.

Moderna's vaccine was primarily funded by $2.5 billion provided by tax payers through the US Government.

Sounds a little socialist-y to me.

 
Our liberal immigration policy has alot to do with our success with vaccines. A Greek Jew, and a Morrocan native, French national of Greek extraction are the 2 CEOs. Not to mention the hundreds of immigrants doing the science. And the German scientist of Turkish Muslim origin who developed the Pfizer vaccine.

And they followed the LEGAL immigration protocols enforced by Republicans.

I agree.  Great additions to our capitalistic nation!

Don't get me wrong, I would be first in line for a smaller government, but your argument is wrong, since there are other vaccines being developed globally that are widely accepted.

Don't underestimate authoritarian countries. If China hadn't controlled the vaccine so well, they might've been first. They had to do their clinical trials mostly outside of China because they were so successful using social distancing and other behavioral approaches to control the pandemic. I guess they are partially capitalistic.

Yeah, but Joe Biden will be the POTUS who oversees millions of Americans actually successfully getting a vaccine.  Trump didn't do that.

I guess if you kept the term "capitalism" out of it and you squinted a little while tilting your head to the left you could kinda sorta see the point, but the bastardization of the word "capitalism" in both these threads is rather obvious.  At least throw a little bait on the hook, right?

ETA - I know the answer is the mods have better things to do and/or haven’t seen it or it hasn’t been reported.  Still want to point out the thread is dumb and the OP is a troll.
