I'm not even saying bench, I'm saying use Winston the same way they use Hill for 7-10 plays a game, but have him throw the ball.

You're right, they should have had 5-7-10 designed plays for Winston to throw it deep or downfield with no apologies.

But it looks like Coach Payton didn't plan for it.

Thanks for the memories ... and my avatar, Drew Brees. A lot of long time Who Dats never thought the Saints would hoist the Lombardi one day. *** A Cajun died and went to hell. The devil ass

After that game, Payton deserves respect. He honored Drew Brees by letting him finish that game. Payton isn’t stupid - he knew Brees didn’t have it tonight or really the last few weeks. Bree

Just really hate to see him go out like this

Hes looked bad for a long time honestly

Brees has been hit and cold for a few years now, but this is a new low. This is not his level, even now.

Falcons fans hate the Saints a lot more than the Bucs.  Also, I hope Brady loses next week by 50.

I didn’t see either one of these teams going into Green Bay next weekend and win tbh.

Brady is going to struggle in the cold next week and Green Bay will stomp them. And then get stomped by the AFC champ in turn

Huh??

If you're Payton and the Saints get a turnover right now, down 10 with 4 minutes left... Do you bench Brees?

NO.....I let him hand to Kamara and take the L. No way I bench him in his last game.

This is it. End of Drew.

Nothing was worse than being a lifelong Dan Marino fan and seeing him lose 62-7 in his final game and look completely washed up.

I don’t think Brees was washed up. He was clearly still playing injured. Not the way he should go out. He still has some gas left in the tank IMO.

Yea 2nd time I've seen that. Do people forget where he's played for 20 years?

Ann Arbor isn't exactly Miami either

Oof.

49 states pulling for the saints here, but Brees just doesn't have it.

Pretty much everyone I know in MA pulling for Brady/Bucs. Will give you CT but I’d put it 44/6

That was then. He looks less bad than Brees but he’s showing signs of age as well

Yeah - I’m not sure the takeaway from this game is anything but Brees wasn’t healthy.  The Bucs 3 TDs were all of turnovers.  If GB takes care of the ball it will be really tough for Tampa to win.

While that's true, the cold won't be the issue.

Call me crazy but I think the bucs can win in Green Bay.

Need some speed.  Besides an injured parker, they had little at wr.

They had nothing....nada.

I can’t believe how quick fans are already giving up on Tua.....kid was out for 9 months rehabbing a freaking fractured hip. Lost a year of football.

Man.

Agree 100%. They have plenty of offensive firepower to trade scores.

Yeah, it was pretty bad.  That will be addressed next year.  One step at a time.

Good class coming out as well.  Hopefully fins can use it to their advantage.

They will, by taking a left tackle or trading down

TB defense looked good today...Devin White is a great contributor

Their d is really good. Covering Adams is a big task, but they should keep the running game in check. (Relatively)

I really hope its the latter.   Pick uo some picks and still get one of the top 3 wrs would be ideal.

I don’t get cute. I take Smith. He has 10 year stud written all over him. Immediate impact player.

At the end of the game, Brees took his helmet off and went in for the hand shake, I rewinded it to make sure it went down this way, Brady just leaned in and hugged him, such a height difference between these two. It was a very emotional exchange I thought, really told the story.

Brady "Keep in touch" were his parting words for Brees amongst some pleasantries.

Also thought Brady saw Brees about to lose it or cry on the hand shake and decided to hug him and cover him up a bit just i case, terrific class act today.

They have other picks though. So Sewell makes sense.

I like Smith. A lot. But wouldn't take him over Sewell.

Somewhere in the Windy City, Foles was watching. 😁

It was nice to see these two at the end though. Great careers.

It just puts them in a weird spot.  They just drafted jackson last year who was supposed to take some time to develop.   They also drafted hunt in the 2nd.    So one of those two is now on the bench.  They also have davis who's just ok, but extremely versatile.  With how much they need skill position players on O, its a real luxury pick.
