If Bourne goes to slot, I like it.

I don't disagree.

@MikeGiardi

One NFC Scout said to me that Kendrick Bourne is Jakobi Meyers, only more expensive. Not a big run after the catch guy.

I must say for fantasy impactful signings today was a dud. I mean is Jonnu the biggest fantasy signing of the day?

Corey Davis to the Jets could be interesting if they end up replacing Darnold. But very boring skill position-wise today.

Fitzmagic 1/$10M from WFT. Can make another $2M through incentives.

Good for Fitz, this will make all 32 NFL teams he's played for, a remarkable accomplishment.

We will miss him in Miami, one of the greatest QBs to ever put on a Miami uniform, that's not a lie. And if you need further proof then I'd like to enter Exhibit "A"

Good luck Fitz, I hope you thrill the fans up there the way you did down here, thank you for leading a rag tag bunch of misfits through some deep water down here in the 305.

Does this mean WFT will be filling a different need at 19 or are they still taking a QB?

There could 5 QBs taken before 19. I doubt if they trade up.  With so many QBs taken, that would leave a high quality OLB or WR at 19.

And New England strikes again: The Patriots are signing former Chargers' TE Hunter Henry to a three-year, $37.5 million deal, including $25 million guaranteed, per source. Free agency's top two tight ends, Henry and Jonnu Smith, wind up in New England.

Patriots are coming across as a bit desperate here in my humble opinion.

With all these FA's and their opt outs returning why bring back Cam?  Maybe there's another plan at that position, but I don't imagine he'll be the best locker room guy if he's backing someone up with the majority of his salary tied to incentives.

Trying to keep up with the Bündchens.

I really think the combo of missing the playoffs and watching Brady hoist the Lombardi is getting to Billy a little bit.

In less than 24 hours, the Patriots have guaranteed over $137.5 million, placing them second in NFL history for most guaranteed money in a free-agent signing period. The record could be theirs before free agency officially begins at 4 pm Wednesday.

So.....should we bumping Damien Harris or what?

Before they signed Jonnu and Henry I was of the mind that they are going to double down even more on the smashmouth running the ball style they did more of last year (relative to Brady years). This seems to support that notion. Plus resigning Cam. Aren't Agholor and Bourne considered excellent run blockers as well?

I'm not ready to call them desperate. This was all pre-meditated. I am going to reserve judgement until I see how their QB situation plays out.

Pats are said to be looking to add one if not two RB's still. I don't know if those would be depth pieces, a specialist, a rotational guy, a prospect, etc. You are probably right they will be going smash mouth / play action football. However, the RB workload may be spread out across several guys. If I had to guess, they are probably looking for a White clone and a Burkhead clone.

I'd love to crap on the Patriots here, but they have nothing but cap space, the only deal that may possibly be a bother if he doesn't work out is Judon.

Most of these are middle class signings, and as far as I am concerned, getting both those TEs is the biggest FA move of them all, that will be a big difference in how they play.

It’s really not that...it is year’s of bad drafting that decimated the roster and finally caught up to them...the only good thing that came out of that is they didn’t have many young players to resign so they were able to put themselves in a great salary cap position...I love what they are doing but if the the Harry’s, Asiasi’s, Rivers and JoeJuan Williams of the world had worked out they would not be doing this...this is out of necessity and I give BB credit because by doing this he is admitting he has screwed up multiple drafts.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reports the Bucs are trying to re-sign free agent Ndamukong Suh.

The sides are in "talks." Suh, who said last month he was not considering retirement, has not yet been connected to any other teams. Playing on one-year deals for several seasons now, Suh would surely like to run it back with the Bucs, the money just has to be reasonable for a player who has made a mountain of it.

Seems a little quiet today

There are several players expecting more money than is out there.

The WRs are really interesting. If they haven't signed, they aren't thrilled with money options.

Jaguars signed DT Tyson Alualu, formerly of the Steelers, to a two-year, $6 million contract.

Alualu, 34 in May, goes back to where it all started after the Jaguars took him with the No. 10 overall pick way back in 2010. He spent seven years there before going to Pittsburgh for the last four. The veteran graded out among Pro Football Focus' best interior defensive linemen last season and has missed just three games in his entire career. Alualu joins DTs Roy Robertson-Harris and Jihad Ward as newcomers up front for the Jaguars.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Saints are interested in free agent CB Richard Sherman.

The Saints' ragged salary cap situation is hard to follow, but they have a need at cornerback after releasing Janoris Jenkins. Injuries limited Sherman to just five 2020 appearances for the 49ers, but he remained one of the league's better corners when suited up. That's remarkable for a player about to turn 33. He would be a strong fit in New Orleans.

@diannaESPN

Just spoke to a free agent wide receiver to find out what’s going on with all the receivers still unsigned. He said “the WR market is really bad right now”
