Not everyone knows all the arguments in favor of amnesty. That alone makes it worth posting them. When I hear conservatives like Tim and my Cuban friend Jose talk about amnesty, the first thing they bring up is the positive economic benefit.
These economic projections don't have high reliability, because that's the nature of economic projections. Plus the number and demographics of the undocumented is all over the place. The effect of COVID on social security is negative due to reduced growth, according to what I've read. I thought the increase in deaths might increase its solvency. I want more of these projections post-pandemic, as our debt increases. And I also want a more secure border and more family visas.
