Just curious am I missing something with Toney going before Moore, Marshall, and ST. Brown if you are needing a WR? Sounds like he's raw, he's missed time...his QB has struggled, and that line is awful. I can't fathom the logic in taking him before the other WRs I just listed....

You get to that point in a rookie draft and there are lots of different valuations and needs so numerous permutations on the order they come off the board.

12 team 1QB rookie draft from last night

2.03 Darrel Williams (CEH owner)

Stupifying pick.  I offered Williams to the CEH owner in my league to move up 2 spots in the 4th round and got rejected this dude throws away the 2.03 pick

I would guess this drafte values draft position highly as a reason.

Just take note of that and try to use this information for possible trade offers in the future.

Agreed.  What's worse is that two months ago the guy paid Irv Smith and the 2.08 to move up to 2.03...so he threw away the pick and Irv too.  Some people.....

Another example where drinking and trading can be a lethal mixture.

Curious to see latest rookie draft...

Why?  Did something happen?

Sincerely,

Franklin Lindsay

I have pick 6 coming up this weekend.  I am fairly positive ETN would not have been there.  He probably will be now.

I dont need production from that pick this year, so very much considering ETN if there.

I would also like to see some recent drafts to see where the other rooks are sliding around to.

Maybe Chase falling out of top 3 in many of them?

I'm assuming this draft was before the jags game?  That would be awful to have taken Etienne and then this injury happens an hour later

My haul from our dynasty/contract league this past Saturday.

1.1 Najee

1.12 Sermon

2.02 Wilson

2.05 Carter Jr.(over Mac Jones was my toughest decision)

2.11 Stevenson

That's a hell of a draft. Surprised Sermon/Carter were available at those spots. Deep WR class with little RB depth so you grab pretty much all the good RB prospects lol.

Yeah, I was pleased. I was actually trying to trade up into the first to get Sermon earlier but he kept sliding...his limited preseason usage/hype has been huge in keeping his ADP supressed.

I know the New England backfield is a mess, but when I watch Stevenson he is meaningfully different than all the other guys there.

I have a couple rookie drafts this weekend and would love to see where ETN is going in other leagues before I’m OTC. I suspect he falls from the 1QB 4th overall range to the 8th overall range to a patient/believer owner

Right there with you, though I think it will take patience with Stevenson. Love how he's looked so far and think he has potential to dominate, but doubt he does much this season without injuries and you never know with BB, he likes to divvy up the touches so no one RB is worth much. Would feel so much more comfortable with Stevenson if he was on another team.

He could definitely drop that far, though I think he'll settle in around 6/7ish, around where Waddle/Smith/Sermon are going. If news is bad and he needs surgery could drop further.

wow, nice job grabbing all that RB depth.  Stevenson at 2.11 sounds reasonable but very surprised you could get Sermon and Carter where you did, i'm jealous

Yeah, no one knew about Etienne's injury during the draft.  Definitley would have thrown things into some chaos if it was known at the time.

I'm sure his new owner was not pleased this morning.

So let's assume 2021 is a total lost year for ETN.   Still a 1st rounder but how high?
N. Harris, J. Chase, K. Pitts, J. Williams, J. Waddle, D. Smith, T. Lawrence all are ahead of him now in dynasty, imo.  I would have to think long and hard before I pass Etienne over after that.  Etienne minus year one vs. Trey Sermon or Michael Carter?  I think would take Etienne.

Piling on the recent posts…

yeah, I’m the guy who was lucky enough to get Williams at 1.6. Loved it.
but I’m also the guy who spent the 1.8 on Sermon and the 1.10 on Carter, so I’m jealous of your haul here.

It happened in our league last night. The guy took ETN and less than ten minutes later he went down. Another guy picked trautman literally right before the play he went down and got carted off the field. As you can imagine that owner sort of lost it at the draft but what was done was done. It was maybe the 16th round anyhow so not too much damage was done but still…

Is it just me or does the rookie crop all appear to be a year older than normal.  Lotta 22 year olds.

Harris already 23??

Rolling with a ten-team, heavy QB-weighted (where QBs often score 35-50 points), almost no PPR (.1 per catch) league saw this:

1) Kyle Pitts
2) Najee Harris
3) Trevor Lawrence
4) Ja'Marr Chase
5) Javonte Williams
6) Justin Fields
7) Trey Sermon
8) Trey Lance
9) DeVonta Smith
10) Travis Etienne
11) Jaylen Waddle

2.01-12) Elijah Moore
13) Rondale Moore
14) Rashod Bateman
15) Terrace Marshall
16) Rhamondre Stevenson
17) Michael Carter
18) Zach Wilson
19) Kadarius Toney

The bolded is me. I traded the 1.9 and a second next year for the 1.7 and Sermon. I felt that having an RB in a start 2 RB league (mandatory) with Edwards-Helaire, Tony Pollard, Ty Johsnon, Jamaal Williams, Eno Benjamin, and that's it as my running backs was an imperative move.

My RBs are now CEH, Harris, Sermon, Pollard, Johnson, Williams, Benjamin. That's a young, unproven bunch. We shall see!

Good picks.

I've always had Sermon at #3 behind Najee and Javonte...but I'm in the minority.
I like Sermon but I would definitely back him up with Elijah Mitchell, as ultimately I think he's the guy who thrives most in the 49er backfield. He's got the perfect RB build*, runs like a natural-born RB, and he sports a tier-1 size-speed combo.

*NFL draft profile lists him at 5-10, 201, but I'm seeing I'm seeing him listed as 5-11, 217 eslewhere.  Eyeball test leans heavily towards the latter.

Agreed. Nice work.
For anyone interested on where Stevenson went, I got him with the 2.03 (14 team lg) in my dynasty rookie 1QB draft this past Tuesday and angered the owner picking after me claiming a snipe at 2.04

Just completed 16-team 1QB non-PPR. This is a contract league and rookie picks can be kept up to 6 years (2 "free" years and then a 1-4 year contract)

My picks bolded. I was desperately thin at WR coming in.

1.01    Outlaws            Harris, Najee PIT RB
1.02    Outlaws            Pitts, Kyle ATL TE
1.03    River city Regulators    Williams, Javonte DEN RB
1.04    Snowy Range Cowboys    Sermon, Trey SFO RB
1.05    Juggernauts        Chase, Ja'Marr CIN WR
1.06    CC BrewCrew        Lance, Trey SFO QB
1.07    Bud Wiseguys        Smith, DeVonta PHI WR
1.08    Phoenix Shuttlecocks    Bateman, Rashod BAL WR
1.09    Phoenix Shuttlecocks    Waddle, Jaylen MIA WR

2.15    Juggernauts        Atwell, Tutu LAR WR

Wet Worms's picks are head-scratching to me. Amon-Ra at 1.10 over Marshall and Tylan Wallace over Nico Collins.

Hoo boy.

At this point, is it consensus that the top-12 in 1QB PPR are:

Najee, Williams, ETN, Sermon, Carter

Chase, Waddle, Devonta Smith, Elijah Moore, Marshall?

Pitts

QB of choice

I have a rookie draft starting tomorrow morning. I’m sitting at 1.9 … love Rondale Moore for better or worse, but that feels like a reach. I guess the question is how far back do you feel safe going and still getting Rondale? Early 2?

Pitts

QB of choice

I have a rookie draft starting tomorrow morning. I’m sitting at 1.9 … love Rondale Moore for better or worse, but that feels like a reach. I guess the question is how far back do you feel safe going and still getting Rondale? Early 2?
Trade back to 12 or 13.

If someone takes him so be it.  Grab a different good player

At this point, is it consensus that the top-12 in 1QB PPR are:

Najee, Williams, ETN, Sermon, Carter

Chase, Waddle, Devonta Smith, Elijah Moore, Marshall?

I'm not sure ETN is consensus top 12 any longer.
