Virginia Beach area (1 Viewer)

I searched and didn't find anything, so if there is a thread already feel free to point me there.   I will be heading to Sandbridge, just south of Virginia Beach, for a week in the not too distant future.  It will be my first time there.  Anything in the area to check out...places to go...things to do?  I see a couple of small military aviation museums in the area.  Are they worth a little "off the beach" time?  Sandbridge itself looks to be largely beach houses, not much else.  Any must experience hot spots for food, drink, or uniqueness in the Virginia Beach boardwalk area to check out?

My favorite thing from the one time we went was the incredible number of dolphins in the water everywhere.  Not sure if it's always like that, but we could see dolphins swimming and jumping out of the water from our hotel room window, when we were on the beach and when we were swimming.  The water was really calm, so it would have been cool to either kayak or paddle board near them.

Unless this was an unusual situation, I'm not really sure why it doesn't get more publicity.

Apparently its a thing, I had no idea. I had no real interest in going there until I saw this, now I kind of want to go

Few things off the top of my head-

https://www.adventureworks.com/locations/adventureworks-virginia-beach/  - just zip lines. Did it with the kids last year. Pretty good

https://myadventurepark.com/location/virginia-beach-va/ - Obstacle courses in the trees, with the occasional zip line. Courses range from easy to very effin' hard. Kids love it and have gone many times.

https://militaryaviationmuseum.org/ - private military museum not far from Sandbridge. Some very cool planes and other early military artifacts and information.

https://www.apexentertainment.com/virginia-beach/ - New entertainment complex at the Virginia Beach Towncenter. Kids keep asking to go and will take them soon. From what I hear a good time. Only open less than a year.

https://vabeachtowncenter.com/ - Va Beach Towncenter is a restaurant-shop complex of Virgina Beach. Have a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and other nice places. Virginia Beach Funny Bone comedy club there as well, might be some good acts while you're here.

I'll try to think of some more and post later.

Thanks Socrates.  I was looking into that military aviation museum.  They actually have rides available in some of their aircraft.  That's pretty cool.
