I love the thread but 1st 3 rounds from what I've seen are somewhat boring as it's almost scripted to ADP.   I'm more interested in picks 4-8 so maybe add that?

In my IDP League that would be less interesting as LBs start going in the 5th-6th, but I could post up 1-4.

Edited op but not sure how to edit topic.

PPR----1.5 for TE.  $350 FBG draft that just ended.  10th pick.

Ridley(because I wanted him in the 2nd & didn't care between Harris & Gibson & knew one would be available in the 2nd, so there I went.

N. Harris

A. Cooper

C. Carson

T. Sermon

Shenault

C. Davis

Don't mind posting because I had a range of players in the spots I picked these.  not a lot of big names but my first 6 rounds are all #1 on their respective teams.  I did draft the backups-supposedly their backups for Harris & Carson.

QB was Hurts in the 11th.  TE Gesieki in the 10th.

god help me but I love it.  (Patton)

Seems mean to not let the guy drafting 12th get a 1st round pick

@Hot Sauce Guy

Is the scoring system pretty standard?

Your first three picks are about the best I have seen at that spot - but there’s not many picks ahead of you that I could argue with.  Mahomes is probably too early but likely still a 2nd, - same for Jefferson.  Ceh may be the only pick that maybe should not have been top 24.

sorry - Diggs 1.11 - typo.

I thought CEH went a round early, and Mahomes is always a 1st rounder. JJ felt early to me, but team 11 had him last year and had to have him again.

Scoring is a little meaty but balanced. .1/1 Ru/Re, .1/2 Pa, all TD 6 pt, -3 Int, -2 FL. We do have .2 PPC for QB, and .1/1st down Ru/Re. +1 on 50+ TDs, and 2 pt bonuses at 100 Ru/ReYd & 300 PaYd

IDP scores tackle heavy at 1/ATK, 2/TK

I don't know how Ridley & Diggs where there?
Diggs at 11 is pretty common. The knee is scaring folks & his ADP has been end of 1st for a spell.

Ridley & Mixon never should have made it to me. That was the craziest thing. I broke my “slow down on the birthday bourbon” rule after that & got loose.

this feels late

WR8 is pretty chalky

WFT homer took McLaurin on a reach but nothing unusual otherwise

ETA: when I saw the 3.01 I realized I might get Lamb - pretty rare most mocks so I was super happy

ETA2: oh wait yeah dude from Europe took James Robinson 2.01   plus Waller slightly early and Carson a bit early but I can see both of those

Yeah that Robinson pick was a gift for 11 teams.

He’s been in the league 11 years & does crazy #### like that every draft. I kinda like it tnh. Following the herd is boring.

Rarely misses the playoffs. He’s got a good kind of cray cray going on.

I'm surprised Barkley went so high.

I'm surprised Barkley went so high.
Yeah, that stood out to me, too. I’m surprised when I see him go top 12.

upside is there, but man - he might have made it back to 2.09

And I’d rather have Henry anyway. If I’m taking on risk, at least it doesn’t include recovery from a wrecked knee.

1/2 pt ppr from the 10 spot:  REALLY wished someone had taken Kelce before me and maybe even Mahomes but neither happened so I took:

Kelce

Mixon

Mcclaurin

Woods

Harris (N.E.)

Russel Wilson

Thomas (N.O.)

Cooks

Boyd

Really wish I had gotten another rb  (which is why I hoped someone else took Kelce)  Also took Calloway to fill in  (or play alongside) Thomas later on.

This is going to look really odd. I don't like the way the boards format. We are a full point ppr redraft, 6 points for passing, running, receiving TD's, and bonuses for 25 completions, 15 rushes, 100 rushing or receiving yards, or 300 passing yards. Our draft order is completely randomized for each round. I was team 1 (traded 1.9, 3.1, and 4.1 to team 7 for 1.4, 3.12, and 5.3)

Never mind Henry going 1.01 in PPR, that’s a super weird way to draft.

I'm taking it that these are all home leagues? No way Mahomes goes at the 1/2 turn in the high stakes league I'm playing in. I'd love to see a high stakes normal PPR league draft.

The one you’re referring to is my 20+ year IDP league. It is a live draft and yea in my home. It is not the smallest buy-in, but it is not a high stakes league.

QB scoring is sightly high, but in no way high enough to justify Mahomes at 1.12

That said, dude at 12 has won this league 6x. I think He had a bad draft, but he went zero RB (Gaskin was his first at 6.01) and if some of the scrubs he drafted come through he’s gonna be tough and have Mahomes.

Honestly I think everyone has to burn their fingers on that “QB in the 1st” toaster at least once before they figure it out.

ironically, this is also the dude who took Josh Allen in the late 6th last year. So super unusual for him.

what a nightmare that would be as commish. I can barely get guys to pick every 2 mins.

Agreed - @montana_grizzly_bearsis it randomized after every other round?  Makes more sense.  Is there a software that facilitated this or do you have to track and input manually?

wow.
So to answer all the questions. We start at the last pick and draw ping-pong balls from the fantasy trophy from pick 180 all the way to #1 (15 rounds). It is all tracked via excel, an html site,  and the draft order is input to site called FanDraft.com. Those online are able to draft that way and we also have a skype call going for those that are not able to be in person. Picks are 3 minutes apart and we have not had anyone miss a pick in 21 years that I have been a part of the league. Whole draw and draft takes about 5 hours total. I guess there is always a chance that someone could end up with those picks,  but I don't think that it has ever been that bad. I would imagine things would be different if it was for big money but all we pay each year is $10 and that goes to the host for food and some to the commish to pay for our website.
