Bucs minus 9 points opening night. I think The Bucs come out strong and jump on The Boys early. Dallas settles down a bit to get back in the game,but then with one final LET'S GO! Brady leads Da Champs to a late TD and a 34-23 victory and a cover.

On a side note,how many times will Jerry Jones be on camera? I'll go with 7

What y'all think?

This seems like a pessimist special.  If I'm a Cowboy fan I throw money at the Bucs and hope I'm wrong.

TB D no joke.....shuts DAL down for the most part....Dak not in flow yet....Brady and TB offense send an early message score early and often.....easy cover IMO...

This might be a secretly close game. Obviously both offenses are great, but defense might be a big factor. TB wins 27-23.

I think the line should be 7. So, while I don’t think it’ll be that close, I like a Dallas backdoor cover.

24-17 bucs.

Can’t wait to go to this one today.

Martin being out is huge. Vea and Suh bench press the guards into Dak and Zeke’s laps. Barrett, JPP, and Devin White clean them up.

Laying money on the Boys to cover though. That’s a big spread and a little consolation if the Boys pull an upset.

I know it’s week 1, but that’s a very low point total in today’s NFL. Especially for these two teams. That could be the score at halftime.

I predict Michael Irvin, Jerry Jones and Stephen A. Smith will be in a very bad mood Friday.  Preparing for the sky is falling narrative.

44-20 Bucs.

Dallas needs to protect Dak and bring him up to speed slowly. I still have visions of Mahomes running for his life in the SB. Micah Parsons could have a big game, maybe a sack, but he's only 1 guy on defense.

37-20 TB.

they're imploring  you to take the Boys +8.5. it's like chumming the waters. come -n- get it , cowboys +8.5!!  don't fall for it. This is feeling like the under hits,  but TB smashes Dallas,  like 40-9 or something in that ballpark. Martin's absence is going to be felt for the next 10 days, talk shows, nfl players association reps on tv. disney starts another new channel called covid+

take TB, and if you must tease it, take the under. it's going to be a one-sided show tonight.

True. I considered 31-24 but think we may see some rust tonight. I went with 24-17 bc I anticipate TB getting up early, their defense playing well, TB then running the ball, with Dallas scoring late.

Just a guess though. I concede that my point total is low.

It feels like everyone is on TB which is making me lean Dallas. But Dak is such a wild card tonight.

Even as a Cowboys fan, I don't disagree with this.  TB will prolly be up two scores before Dallas knows what hit em

Normally I would say that the champs will come into game one forgetting how hard it is to win and show up a little fat and out of shape but I don’t think Brady will allow that (,nor Arians for that matter).

As a Bucs fan, they'll probably come out flat and be down by two scores before they know what hit em
It's the first thrusday so anything is possible, but it's in TB, and you guys have a duuuurty D.  Dak is the wildcard here.  He was dealin big time before he went down......welcome back Dak!!

Normally I would say that offenses are ahead of defenses in the first couple of weeks of the season, but TB is returning their entire defensive starting lineup.  That's going to be gold tonight.

I don't bet money on stuff. Never have. Probably in the minority here. Got a $10 best ball thing to get a sub somewhere but that was just the discount to get the sub. The best ball leagues were a side effect of getting paid sub for an analyst.

It's a funny game. 50% of the time the narrative plays out just like you thought it would. TB cruises to a 2-3 TD lead in the third quarter, Dallas comes back to make is kinda interesting but ends up losing by 10. That's like the most generic/ likely outcome. TB is deep and talented on both sides of the ball. Dallas Oline is dinged up again and Dak is running for his life thinking about the cart...

The other 50% of the games, something really wacky happens. Muffed punt. Missed tackle. Lookout block. Dak's back and CeeDee's the real deal, roasting CBs all over the place. As a NE fan, I've seen plenty of bad games from the GOAT.

If being forced to bet, I'd take those points.  Just think the difference in talent gets exaggerated and more likely outcome is that they cover 9 points. More likely. IMHO. Don't know how all you betters live with knowing that random events dictate your money situation. I'd be losing my mind. Must be thrill of being right is more exciting than the pain of being wrong.  Or you have a long track record of being that one person that isn't building casinos. Good luck my brothers.

So freaking pumped that it's starting.

Sometimes the public is just right, but everyone's last impression of TB is so high and Dallas is so low that there has to be a reality that Dallas is pretty good and TB is not perfect.

While true, I’ll offer this:

Dak hasn’t played an NFL game in a while. 11+ months. He also Didn’t have a lot of practice in the preseason due to the shoulder injury. That’s a significant layoff.

Dallas lost Zach Martin to COVID. This is not an insignificant factor for a team that struggled with protection last season.

And especially going against a dominant TB defense, Martin’s absence could significantly lower Dallas’ chances of success.

Finally, Dallas is on the road, and their defense isn’t much improved from last year that I can tell. Going against Brady & a completely stacked offense, I could see the Bucs running it down Dallas’ throat, passing at will & even potentially getting a defensive score in this game.

Prediction: 2-score blowout, 31-20.

As much as I hate laying that much wood, I just have a feeling that TB is going to blow DAL out early.

Dak will come back and pad his "empty calories" stats in the 4th quarter, but I will go TB 34-24

Lamb O 74.5 Receiving Yards  || +140 (MGM)

Brady O 2.5 Passing TDs  || +150 (MGM)

DAL / TB Over 50.5  ||  -110 (MGM)

TB -6.5 / NE +2  || +264 (MGM)

Tampa is obviously the better team, but 8.5 seems like way too much.  I have the game at TB-5 which is much more in line with where it opened (-6).  The buyup to 8.5 (I see 9 now) seems like quite a premium  to pay for the Superbowl champs.

Dallas's defense should be much better this year.  They added Micah Parsons and Diggs has another year under his belt but more importantly was the change at DC to Quinn who'll bring back a 4-3 front and get DeMarcus Lawrence back to playing more with his hand on the ground than as a OLB.  Also the move should get Randy Gregory on the field more often than last year.

Offensively, I don't think the Cowboys are that far behind Tampa.  I'll say TB 31, Dal 26.

Gambling ruins families.   Godwin and Lamb going and I find myself most anxious for what Gio looks like on my bench.

Can not wait.

Thank god I’m not the only one who is aware of this and sees it this way.

I know Dallas's D is much improved but we're talking Brady with another off-season to master the playbook, a full complement of healthy receivers and running backs, and that defense.

Tampa is going to roll, and it'll be a blowout if they can punch the ball in when they get in the red zone. That'll be the determining factor in whether they cover or not.
