This was one of the games I saw going either way for us this year. We could come out and absolutely destroy them but we could also lay and egg and get killed or play sloppy

That was a good gain but you don't want your QB throwing off their back foot constantly. That leads to errant throws and INTS and Hurts arm strength isn't good enough to compensate for that.

He does a nice job of using horizontal space to create a seams, a bit like Shanahan himself

Smith and Hurts college teammate Tua was just carted off the field. Hope he's ok. Dude has a tone of talent but can't seem to stay healthy

I would've preferred a a WR or HB screen there and let our guys with their speed pick up the first. That was just bad all around. Only good thing was Hurts threw it where either his guy gets it or no one
