Anyone want to go to bat for Donovan Peoples-Jones? The drumbeat was substantial entering the season. It was more of a just wait until he gets into the starting lineup in 2022 dynasty drumbeat, but if you were going to tell me 2 weeks of no OBJ followed by at least 3 weeks of no Landry, I would have figured this guy was destined to be an early season waiver wire darling based on the hype.
There doesn't seem to be any issue with snap count. That reflects next man up after Landry & OBJ , but he has been good for one reception in each of the first two games, getting out-produced by the rookie speedster. It looks like he fumbled, so maybe that's part of the explanation for week 2 along with a Texans gamescript. Not sure what to make of it other than maybe there's more reason to why he was a 6th rounder than a bad QB situation contributing to a lack of college production. Still feel like he's not a bad stash just in case, given the obvious opportunity, but I also don't feel like he's going to make me regret not making room for him, unless it's getting loose for one deep ball. Anyone still expecting him to make noise while he has this precious window?
