MLB Playoffs - The FFA edition (1 Viewer)

Hard to support a team you know is moving to Portland.
Portland is nowhere near capable of taking on another professional franchise right now. They're too embarrassed to even let any dignitaries visit to tour stadium sites, etc., given the current state of the city.

Watched the replays, and it made little sense to send Judge home.  Hold him up, and you've got 1st and 3rd (maybe 2nd and 3rd, esp. if they tease to get a throw to home) with one out.
I think part of the reason he sent him is because Joey Gallo was up next (sheer lunacy batting him 4th) and would have likely struck out. Fun fact, Gallo has 2 sacrifice flies in his entire career.

Not that they gave anything great to get them, but Yankees can’t be thrilled with the guys they got from the Rangers this year.

Thats badass as well.

I’m sure it’s been discussed but why is that baseball stadium empty? They have been great for years now.
Too far away from the population center of Tampa. Wherever you’re from, take your big population base and put a baseball stadium 45 minutes away accessible only by 3-lane traffic.

That sucks. That stadium does look like hot garbage on TV too. No hope for a new stadium?

They’re holding some idiotic split city idea between Tampa Bay-Montreal over the area’s head. It’s nothing more than a leverage play. Tampa would be by a substantial margin the best place to put the team but they don’t have the money. St. Pete is flush with cash and the want-to (and a waterfront location), but again away from all the people. It’s a quandary.

An open air, covered stadium (or something that allows people not to melt) on the water could be epic. Lame that the team is so good and they don't have packed crowds and a nice park to enjoy it.

Seattle in a similar spot with the leverage play with the league with the NBA. Teams love having a city to threaten a move to, to get a new stadium built by the city.

Cards confidence is extremely high, they’re extremely hot, and I look for Bader and O’Neill to be the difference makers leading to a Cards win.

Anyone else hearing some weird high pitch sound on the broadcast?  Sounds like an ocean sonar or something.

That's a spot to pull Wainwright. Don't like leaving him in there just to get one more inning from him. Cards have enough quality bullpen guys to get through 4 innings.

For the Record, playing RF is as or more difficult than playing CF. You have to have a better arm, be able to deal with the caroms and the Karens by the foul pole.
