2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Mavs - Boston it is

I have definitely seen plenty of examples of liberal travels in these playoffs... lots of times a jump stop followed by a 3rd and sometimes even 4th step. This just wasn't an example of it.

I don't know what to tell you. Your pivot foot equals your first of two steps you are allowed without traveling. You can lift it as @Jayrod stated, as has always been true.

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Mavs - Boston it is

You get two steps. When he came to a stop, the first foot down (right foot) equals his first step and pivot foot. His second foot down (left foot) is his second step and not his pivot foot, so he can move that around as long as he holds his pivot foot. When he shoots, he steps forward on his...

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Mavs - Boston it is

The play @the moops linked looks clean to me, and it is at 102-100. Brown picks up his dribble as he stops (not exactly a jump stop). His right foot goes down first, so that is his first step and pivot foot, making his left foot his second step. He can move the left foot and does so, never...

    MAD's ROUND 2!! # 1's have been posted!!

I'm in for the next one whenever it is time. If we are selecting artists, I will take Dave Matthews unless someone else wants him (seems like someone else had mentioned him in one of these threads).

Possible scenario: Suns draft Bronny at #22 Lebron signs for minimum salary contract with Suns to fill vacant PG role and get to play with Bronny Could that team win the title? Odds Lebron would play for the minimum?

How Has The Balance Of Power Changed For Employee - Employer Relationship Compared To 50 Years Ago?

Well, relationships are a big part of all kinds of business in my experience. Having ex-military personnel who have relationships with other ex-military personnel who work at other companies does not equate to price fixing or collusion. It can often facilitate teaming, which is a positive thing...

2023-24 NBA (Playoffs!) Thread: Mavs - Boston it is

You are asserting this based on their careers. But that does not represent the difference between them this year. Murray was considerably better this season. Look at the advanced metrics -- Murray was far better in PER, VORP, BPM, and WS/48. Murray averaged 6.5 assists per game this season...

How Has The Balance Of Power Changed For Employee - Employer Relationship Compared To 50 Years Ago?

I have worked in DoD contracting for more than 25 years in my career and currently manage a large DoD business unit (~$300M annually). I participate in and approve a large volume of proposals. What you seem to describe here is collusion, which is unethical at best and illegal at worst...

    RB Austin Ekeler, WAS

Robinson was also a better rusher last season. PFF graded 37 RBs who had at least 150 rushing attempts in 2023. Here is how Robinson and Ekeler compared in a number of metrics, along with their ranks in that group: PFF rushing grade: Robinson (73.7, #27) > Ekeler (65.1, #36) YPC: Robinson (4.1...

    RB Austin Ekeler, WAS

Yes, I'm a Chargers fan who watched every game last season. Ekeler looked like a shell of the player he was in 2021-2022. To be fair, he suffered an ankle injury early, and that was part of it, but to me that didn't seem like all of it... I think it is likely he is yet another older RB in...

    RB Austin Ekeler, WAS

In 2023, Robinson was better than Ekeler at all of the following (ranks are among 44 RBs PFF graded in 2023 who had at least 30 targets): PFF Receiving Grade: Robinson (71.9, #9) > Ekeler (57.4, #32) Catch percentage: Robinson (90.0%, #4) > Ekeler (73.9%, #36) YPR: Robinson (10.2, #1) > Ekeler...

The whole NFL players in NBA debate going on...

Disagree that any of my posts have been disrespectful with the possible exception of my response to you after you called me a 5 year old. I have provided counterpoints to your comments, so your second comment here is wrong. You probably won't see this given you say you are putting me on...

The whole NFL players in NBA debate going on...

With all due respect, the fact that you think this substantiates your take proves the point that there is no basis. Even if you limit your college basketball sample to NCAA Division 1, there are 352 teams. If they each use all 13 scholarships, that is 4,576 players, not including walk ons. That...
