After looking around some, I couldn't locate anything since he was placed on IR about whether there is any reasonable chance he plays football again next year. Just wondering whether anyone believes he might play next season and whether he is worth stashing on your bench in the meantime. None of the guys in Houston are doing anything, so if he was able to return more or less healthy (a big if), he would probably have little problem winning the job back.

IMO they get their act together and draft a RB in the 2007 draft, and that guy starts next year.

I'd say the Texans will hope that Oklahoma RB Adrian Petersen declares for the 2007 Draft, and they select him. They will want to get the "Why didn't you draft Reggie Bush?" fiasco behind them.

No real news on him currently. I would stash him, but not plan for him to be a contributor hoping that I get lucky.
