Baby names (1 Viewer)

Went with Oliver Oak. O Squared.

Got to hospital at 430 AM on Thursday. Baby was born at 640 AM!

He is awesome. I always though newborns were weird as #### looking. Not this handsome fella though. :banned:

Congrats moops, Mrs.moops and babymoops!

I liked James as a girl's middle name. It's no shame to be in the same league with her.

Congrats Moops :towelwave: and to the Mrs too.

I thought we might have you beat today- 4 weeks early for us, but the wife is currently being "observed" overnight at the maternity ward.

In picking the name for my baby girl, we decided to pick the name nobody liked.

Adelynne Sage (I wanted to spell it Adelyn)

Just read through the baby name book for girls and multiple baby name website lists. Looking for a baby girl's name, lord help me, I will have a teenage daughter in 2025!

Nearly 5 years ago we would have went with Addison Elizabeth if we had a girl but we had a boy. At that point, we named our boy Noah Joseph. Noah was way down on the name list from the year before (in the 80's I believe) before jumping into the top 10. Joseph is my middle name and my grandfather's name.

Wife hasn't gone through the book yet but with name and meaning etc my list from the first read-through is as follows: Addison, Ariel, Callie, Calliope, Cecilia, Charlotte, Grace, Hope, Iris, Isabel, Marjorie, Maggie, Paige, Rachel (my son's contribution), Rose, Violet

Wife's favorites before going through the book are Addison (now #11 on top name list) and Hope (#220). Called out to my son the other day in the jumper line and 3 Noah's looked at me, ugh...don't want that to happen again with #2 so we will probably cut top 20 names out at least...

A lot of names from people aged 20-40 now are way down on the name lists. Like Jennifer is #120 for girls, I had tons of Jenny's in my classes, best guess is that they are having kids or people our age have friends with that name so it kind of disqualifies it.

Those are some good names.I like Addison, Cecilia, Hope, and Iris the best (if you care that is).

Thanks moops, I bet even with the wife going through the book it'll come down to Addison and Hope. I like yours' too. Don't like the possible OJ references!

Thank God, maybe we can start using Jennifer again. Now there's a solid, beautiful name.I can't believe three Noah's looked at you from the line. What a dumb name.

I was fully expecting to come in here see some nut job name thier child Caylee in memory of a child they didn't know. Guess even the FFA has it's limits.

Congrats moops. My second little girl is going to be here any day. Due the 23rd but my wifes dialating and having contractions so it will be soon. We still don't have a name and can't agree on anything. My first little girls name is Mei-Ling. I don't she will come across anyone here in the south with a simialr name. My wife is chinese and we couldn't agree on anything as they were wanting us to fill out the birth certificate so she went with that, despite me not 100% on board. I'm sure growing up she may go with May but who knows.

Thankfully bullying awareness is at an all time high because some of these kids will need help.

I guess it's been all downhill since Michael Jackson named his kid "Blanket"

I can sympathize. The other day I took my son to the pool. He was one of just four little boys there, but three of them were named Connor.

Bobby Layne : what in the gdmf is going on with that sig? :loco:
:goodposting:  btw- Kila Ever is the name of our one week old girl. (started with Lila, made a last minute switch to Kila, even though we know most people won't get the pronunciation right the first time. Wife wanted Lila Eve, but I thought that sounded too much like a ##### product name)eta: censored bit is a feminine hygene product
