***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (4 Viewers)

I think that there are four parties involved at the moment.

1. Rick's group

2. Termites

3. Black guy from Season 1 (I forget his name)

4. A mystery group who is tracking 1 & 2. Maybe related to the black car/kidnapper people.

The Termites, just by dumb luck, happen upon the Church and BobBQ.
The Mystery Group is tracking Rick's group, and marking the trees. The same people who Daryl knows are out there but they're good/careful enough to not leave tracks. I don't think the Termites are skilled trackers to be able to elude everyone and Daryl. Hell, they have an open campfire at night - what does that tell ya. The termites are also being tracked, and have no idea.

Let's not forget Beth and her kidnapper(s). Car had a cross in the window. Gabriel?

Anyone think that Gareth was a little too comfortable talking to Bob at the end and perhaps Bob was a former Termite? Daryl found him just wandering aimlessly...perhaps he was a little mentally messed up after eating people or the group he was with was dinner and he escaped. It just felt like there was more to it.
Some of the things Gareth said made me think they had history, something about how they would have eaten anyone, but because it was him it was a cosmic justice.

Their history though could have been the Terminus fight and nothing before that.
Maybe Bob was with the first group that tried to take over Terminus?
:goodposting: that was my thought also.. What goes around comes around..
I mentioned after the trough scene that Gareth knew Bob's name.

yeah, I didn't get that last scene with carol and Darryl, explain to me like I'm 4th grader
Best as I can tell:

1. Carol was going to leave the group

2. Daryl caught her and stopped her from leaving

3. Car that took Beth drives by

4. Daryl recognizes the car and tells Carol they gotta go after it because those guys got Beth

5. Beth loves Rick. Their's is a powerful love that has yet to be consummated but forever endures with the brilliance of a thousand suns.

No. 5 wasn't included in the scene but given how it's such a significant theme in the show I thought it needed to be included.

Didn't Bob, at the trough, say- "Hi, my name's Bob... Washington DC, etc"?

That's what I assumed happened with Gareth knowing his name and group./

Maybe Bob was at Terminus originally when Gareth and the lot were all decent people. Maybe Bob's alcoholism (passed out or whatever) contributed to the bad gang gaining entry and causing all that went down. Maybe Gareth had people close to him die because Bob was drunk.
Maybe Soylent Green is people.
Maybe some people should use spoiler tags. :o
He meant purple, Soylent Green is purple...that's the twist - it's not actually green!

They brought the first group in and offered them a plate. It hardly strains credibility to presume they asked Glenn, Maggie and everyone what their names were.

they'll get to that right after the 3 way with Maggie, glen and the lesbo chick from governor's camp

Replace Glenn with Rosita and you'd have a strong contender for greatest TV episode ever.

Anyone think maybe bob was infected from a underwater zombie scratch and that the Terminals could get sick from eating him?
I did. But then I remembered that most germs/bacteria/viruses die at 165 degrees.
The more you know.
Bob looked pretty much medium rare-rare to me when Gareth was munching on him
he actually looked pretty good, but I'm a sucker for grilled meats

Great! Thanks a LOT.

Now I might as well just stay away from all 1970s dystopian pictures. You've ruined them all for me.

Carol appeared to be running off.

Darryl followed her.

They see the car that Darryl saw kidnap Beth.

Smashes brakelights and chases after it.
"Carol, can we join your group?"

"Sure, but my group is jump-starting an old Buick I found out on the highway and taking off tonight"

I did think it was a little odd how Carol seems to be struggling to get back in with the group. I could see if she was pissed at Rick but that doesn't seem to be the case. It seems to be primarily/entirely about killing Psycho Lizzie which is odd because she offed the two people at the prison without batting an eye. I'm sure this will be explored as we go along but I did think it was odd.

Talking #### to a guy while eating his leg is the new awesome. Govenor who?
The ending turned a very good episode into a top 10 episode. I doubt very much that Bob was bitten in the leg and they cut his leg off for that reason. If that was the case, I just don't see them eating his leg.

You kind of knew Bob's night wasn't going to end well when he said "one more (or last) kiss".

Man's gotta eat. What an awesome line. One of the best on the show. For some reason, it reminded me of: "got milk"
Lol was good

Killing a child for any reason would be hard.

There's Rick's group. There's the Termites. There's Duane. There's Herman Munster driving Beth around in that hearse.

The ones tracking Rick's group were the Termites.

I was joking about being in a "dead pool" but during water color talk this morning 3 of us thought it'd be cool to give it a go, so I figure who better to help come up with rules for this than FF guys. We came up with rough guidelines that look like this:

Hold a draft and divy up the "main group", probably 3 or 4 characters each (no bad guys).

$1 per episode skins game, if one of our picks dies, we get the current pot and the pot starts over.

Our skins game ends at the season break (8 episodes), what do we do if nobody has died up to that point? (We want the pool to conclude at season break rather than carry over to when the season picks back up).

We'd also like another pot seperate from the dead pool skins game that offers a weekly "result". Thought of tallying zombie kills for each of our three squads, but that seems like way more effort than it's worth. Human kills would be easier to tally, but those don't happen often enough for this. Maybe we could tally just kills highlighted on Talking Dead's "kills of the week" segment?

Any ideas?

Do comic book readers have a slight edge?

To touch on a couple matters that have been discussed over the last few pages:

1) I thought Bob stepped outside probably to get away from the drinking and such, since he has an alcohol issue. I think someone else said the same in this thread.

2) I don't think Bob knew Gareth prior to the recent encounter at Terminus. The cosmic fate that Gareth referred to is the fact that at out of all of the "packs" of humans they could track and hunt, it was the group that ruined their home that they were lucky enough to find. Didn't really matter who, though, the Termites would be finding someone to track/eat. Just my take, could be totally wrong.

Another very interesting episode, overall. Two big issues unfolding (Gareth & Beth's kidnappers) could make for a nice few episodes coming up.

It would be easier to buy into all this "Bob had a history with Gareth" stuff if Gareth had actually said something to Bob back at Terminus. Don't you guys think that Gareth would have given a Bob sermon right before Bob was on the chow line getting ready to have his head bashed in? At the time, Bob was going to be turned into Bobjerky in a couple of minutes. Why not give Bob a nice talk then?
Definitely...there'd be some sort of speech/recognition/comment back at Terminus.

And before even going to Terminus...Bob would've said something to the gang.

But...I don't put ANYTHING passed these writers...

Pretty easy actually. I mean, they're so tiny.

Yeah, plus Rick had no way of knowing what group members ended up with whom. As long as Tyreese was on board, Carol's story could be that she happened upon Tyreese and the baby and no one else.

Maybe Carol doesn't want to be around when Rick asks about the girls.
I doubt Rick would ask about the girls any more than he would ask about all the others who didn't make it. He could just assume they died along with everyone else. He likely has no clue they were with Carol.

You could probably do it one handed
