As usual, we post our veteran draft for dynasty startup leagues...1st overall selection to be made shortly, so I've posted the links for you guys that are interested...as a reminder:

Scoring is decimal (.04/yd passing... 4pts/TD----.10/yd ru/rec...6 pts/TD...PPR for RB=0,WR=1,TE=2)

Starting lineups: QB--2RB--2WR/TE--2flex--K--D (no TE required)

Rosters 22 man, cut to 20 forever August 1st

Why couldnt I have gotten into that league. And why cant Mistakes just take LT so we can get on with it

Sure, I'll try and post some updates periodically. Anyone know what exactly happens if the 12 hour time limit expires? Just curious and still waiting on Mistakes in HP4

Nothing in the league bylaws that addressesthis or any other matter regarding the draft.Very basic rule structure.
 
Mistakes is in some of the other MOX leagues, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he must just be very busy today. (Although I am very antsy right now.)

The way I do it in my leagues, is if the time expires the next owner is on the clock. The owner who missed his pick can pick anytime, but obviously he can't pick someone taken after his time expired. This is something that should be done just like it is done in the NFL draft.

I am going to guess that no rookies are in the system yet and the message board reflects that this is MNs Peterson.

If he's bought the 2007 league the rookies are there. If they are having the draft on the 2006 MFL league, then the rookies are not in the player database.

I am going to guess that no rookies are in the system yet and the message board reflects that this is MNs Peterson.

If he's bought the 2007 league the rookies are there. If they are having the draft on the 2006 MFL league, then the rookies are not in the player database.

Nope they are there, pre-draft mistake. Their posting board says they are just going to assume the commish has the MN Peterson. FWIW, the team picking after him has not logged for a few hours and hasn't picked yet.

I never have understood why teams in the 1st rd can't predraft enough players to have the system pick for them if they aren't going to be at a computer. I think it's downright rude not to do so. You would think that if a person is interested enough to pay $$$ for a dynasty league, he would be interested enough to make his 1st rd pick in a timely manner. I can't stand these type of owners.

I never have understood why teams in the 1st rd can't predraft enough players to have the system pick for them if they aren't going to be at a computer. I think it's downright rude not to do so. You would think that if a person is interested enough to pay $$$ for a dynasty league, he would be interested enough to make his 1st rd pick in a timely manner. I can't stand these type of owners.

:no: The owner you are all questioning posted a message on the league page that he had a family emergency (family member near death), he is in Montana with very limited internet access. It may slow the draft down, but I think we are all understanding. Besides, we are still ahead of the MOX 4 pace...lol

 
Mistakes may have forgot about the draft, or he is pondering a trade. He is in another auction league I'm in and has been on a few times to update his auctions. Has anyone emailed him to remind him? I know this auction draft is taking ALOT of planning and time so he mightve just forgot about it completely.

Then again, maybe LT is getting traded... :lmao:

Just shot an email, JIC. He may have tried to pre-draft his pick and figured he wouldn't be drafting again for a little while, the #1 guy has to log in and physically make their pick to kick off the draft.

Are you in either of these leagues? You've got a whole other thread of your own to gripe about slow drafting and you have to gripe in this one, too?

Damn, man. You're a nice guy and all, but I'm about ready to delay my picks to tick you off.

APeterson, SSmith, SJackson and CHenry this year, there is OBVIOUSLY the very real possibility of screwing this up a couple times in every draft this year---hell, 3X's yesterday in my 2 HP drafts!

anyway, to avoid such embarrasment, I went to the "Minn team" from the dropdown menu to enter Peterson the first time

as luck would have it, SJackson was drafted early, then the owner behind him had the SJax-Car RB entered as a predraft...my selection of Gore then was entered, but rather then be a #####, I deleted the 2nd SJax entry and reverted the draft...

this procedure knocks out my predraft---so as the not hold up the draft, I quickly entered my predraft selections again, but didn't go to "Minn team" page this time, only RB's page...

...you know the rest

so my suggestion to anyone facing a startup dynasty draft this year, go to the "team page" vs "position" or "all player" pages to predraft these guys---it's hell on the draft trying to locate an owner who is away from his computer for several hours (like I was after the gaft yesterday afternoon) to correct this kind of mistake

hey it could ALWAYS be worse

they could try to pick Stephen Jackson of Golden State!!

i mean he has been hot lately!
