Perry gets first go at the WR3 job.Wow - What a waste of talent?Does Antonio Chatman or Tab Perry's stock increase?
Tack on another 8 games. Have a nice season.link
Looks like he failed a court-ordered drug test for opiates and might end up spending some time in the clink. The Commish can't look kindly on this - clearly he didn't learn after getting an 8 game suspension. What a waste.
I'll take the over. The new sherriff in town is going to boot his ### for a long time. The comments from Goodell are very blunt (no pun intended) that spells out a looooong vacation for Henry. "I must emphasize to you that this is your last opportunity to salvage your NFL career," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wrote Henry when he suspended him. "I urge you to take full advantage of the resources available to support you in that effort."Tack on another 8 games. Have a nice season.link

He should have been arrested by the fashion police for wearing that coat.
This pretty much says it all, from that link:link

Prosecutor: conflicting information now on Henry drug test
The Kenton County Attorney now says his office has conflicting information on drug test results involving Bengals receiver Chris Henry.
Earlier today, Garry Edmondson said Henry had failed a court-ordered drug test, adding that Henry tested positive for opiates.
Edmondson indicated it would force Henry to serve up to 88 days in the Kenton County jail.
Edmondson says one test came back negative. He says results of another test are pending. He would not say who told him the test was positive.
Local 12 continues to follow this story.
Well we got this smiley
I'm inclined to give people a second chance, but if this story is true, it means Henry has screwed up after about three or four second chances. It's pathology at this point. He has a problem.Well we got this smileybut I guess we also need one with a red challenge flag
And yeah as a Bengal fan if this is a true positive, and not a false, he's gotta go become someone elses problem.
As a mini-threadjack, what's the % of guys who got it back together with another team after something like this? Seems that typically there's a lot more David Bostons than there are um, whoever you guys find as an example who switched teams and worked out.
In the mean time![]()

Negative, per Henry's agent, who says he got that info from a team official. It's in the wait and see category, I'd say.The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting the the test NEGATIVE.

Basically that's the difference between a thinker and a reactor.Guys like Henry and Pacman and Vick truly puzzle me.I don`t think they realize how easy their lifes could be if they just followed some simple rules.1. Don`t get into gunfights at nightclubs.2. Don`t drink and speed while driving3. Don`t smoke weed and drive.4. Don`t get involved in weed and dog fights.5. Don`t beat your spouse.

Until the latest change involving Goodell and the Players Union, this wasnt possible. You could not waive, cut, suspend for conduct outside of "on the field" performance. If so, you risked a lawsuit with significant damages. This is what the owners were asking for recently and Goodell and the Players Union gave to them. The ability to waive someone for off the field issues.Maybe one of the reasons the Bengals have been such a suffering franchise it that they apparently put up with this kind of crap from (maybe) the 3rd best WR on a very promising team. Can anyone see the Colts or Patriots having put up with this clown for so long? Or at all? Good franchises run things like a business. Obviously you sometimes make exceptions for particularly valuable resources, but Chris Henry isnt that valuable. This sets a terrible precident.

It really doesn't matter. Maybe they were just speeding up the process. His future is convict. Give him time.(KFFL) Updating previous items, ESPNews reports that a Kenton County prosecutor has stated Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry did not fail a court-ordered drug test.
