Actually it is not far off. According to a quick Google search:
In the modern era the record drive is 24 plays Saints vs Panthers, Oct 7, 2007 -- 24 plays, 93 yards, 10:22 off the clock, and culminating in a blocked 20-yard FG.
The record for a TD drive is:
20 plays by the Jacksonville Jaguars on 12-16-2007 versus the Steelers.
