Game Thread W8 - Miami V NY Giants (1 Viewer)

Slaton 1 yd TD run. Giants look slow on defense. Miami utilized their speed advantage to get to the edge and stretch the field horizontally. Also they were gifted a critical pass interference call on a throw to Hartline in the end zone, which set up the run.

Giants mugged the guy on the pass interference (it was 3rd and 6 stop, wasn't going to be completed), then got a stupid personal foul when they stuffed Slaton on 1st and goal.

I like the size of these young Miami DBs but boy they have issues covering people.

Eli got to his 3rd - 4th progression on read on the 2nd down to Mario

3rd down he had even more time but threw out the back of the end zone expecting to get hit (there was in fact no pressure)

ETA: typo

3rd and goal from the 5 and Eli throws the ball away with very little pressure because he felt he'd been holding it too long.

I understand getting rid of the ball on 1st or 2nd down, but this propensity to teach QBs to just get rid of it even in situations like this is just another example of 30 year old football concepts not being updated for the modern era. A sack or a throwaway are the same thing there, as they both lead to a chipshot FG attempt. May as well hold onto the ball there and see if something develops, throwing it away is just a waste.

Eli needs to start dumping off to Bradshaw more often, i see so many times that Bradshaw is open in the flat and Eli just throws ball away

Moore looks really shaky. On this series, badly underthrown ball to Hartline who wasn't even expecting to see it thrown his way. A dying quail of a dump off over the middle that Bush was adept enough to pick off his shoes with his fingers. Moore then gets really luck to avoid Osi, scrambling up the left side.

Moore does not look fluid or solid, but on the other hand, he's been the entire offence so far.

Bush with a great run cross-field.

now they're pounding the middle with Reggie Bush

G-men tried to grab both flags off his hips but he was just too fast

Reggie Bush through a huge hole as he ran straight and hard. Bounced off a tackler and made a nice 35 yard run across field.

Blown hot reads are usually on the wideout, no? Brian never changed his pattern. Regardless, I wouldn't assume not being on the same page is the fault of the QB.

Moore with the bootleg TD.I don't like the way he looks throwing the football, but no question he's leading this team in all aspects.

He's you Tebow, manOK, except he looks bad when he runs, tooWinning ugly here

Giants pickup a 3rd & 11 on a simple out to Mario

Jacobs drops an easy pass on a screen

crowd booing Eli looks confused timeout cue commercial #51

great pass by Manning but Nicks couldn't hold on

3rd down incomplete to Ballard (some pressure by Taylor et al)

Giants can beat these corners like a drum, can't believe they can't sustain drives

Bradshaw with a nifty 15 yard screen (one play after #44 whiffed on a blitz pickup)

nice two minute drill by Eli - couple short passes down to the six, 12 seconds left, 3rd and 1

Hate to ask this... but... If Reggie Bush keeps running like that, does he become startable again? This will be 3 weeks in a row where his running skills are above average.

and he's picking up yards in between the tacklesmight get his 2nd 100 yard game of his career today (1st was 2006, also against NYG)

Don't forget that Sparano is still coaching...as soon as it looks like they are having success, pull Bush...pass pass pass.

Giants are pissing this thing away but man I expect Eli to blow up in the 2nd half.

These DBs are not good, all three Giants WRs get separation.

Nicks with his 2nd drop today

That's 5 easy ones dropped the G-men today - Eli is 21/31 even with the bad drops

'notter punt

Eli has been close to perfect so far, i say scrap the runs as they arent doing anything and Eli is just shredding these DB's
