NHL Daily Games

Trying to keep this one open ended with different daily game sites. FantasyFeud in particular has a freeroll and I hope everyone announces any NHL freerolls in this thread.
I also hope people feel free to share their favorite twitter feeds for late breaking lineup news. Seems like the best(only?) reason to have a twitter account, at least for me.
Does anyone have a promo code for NHL Gamecenter Live?
Who does everyone like for the best "value goalie" in the first game? Martin Brodeur seems good to me but I'll admit I'm still a novice at fantasy hockey. Who do you all like?
Any late scratches that make a 2nd/3rd liner a great value this early in the season?
Good luck to everyone this season!

How'd it go day 1? I had no time to do anything.

(price is right sad horns)
I didn't make a bad call on Martin Brodeur, he scored pretty well. I also had Erat/Hornqvist who played well but overall I'm finishing in the bottom half of the free play.
FanDuel expert league canceled because not enough people entered.
Definitely looking forward to your advice an input as I'm new to hockey... just played the last few months of last season as a brief intro.
The only goalie I see officially starting tomorrow is Vokoun so far.

Cleaned up on Fantasy Factor...quite a bit different there though because of the format (no salaries and you pick one player that scores times 3 and two players that score times 2). I definitely liked to stack lines, but I've never done a 50/50 format (only did H2H on Fanduel). I'm wondering if people just stack alot no matter the format. Seems like it would be the way to go for GPPs, not sure about 50/50s.
Really looking forward to freerolls on other sites. Placed in a couple college football freerolls on Fantasy Feud at the end of the year so I have a small bank there. Looks like DraftKings will run their standard daily freeroll for NHL. Not sure why Daily Joust has nothing up, maybe they ran one today.
With the odd schedule this year there are going to be alot of value goalies nightly. Read guys like Vokoun are going to get 20+ games with a heavier load early in the year.
I pretty much exclusively use this site for goalies:
http://www.leftwingl...arting-goalies/
They also have a good line combo page that will end up having a filter on last 3 games ice time together, also with a PP filter:
http://www.leftwingl...om/line-combos/
Never used it before, but I'm assuming Rotoworld will be solid on Twitter just like it is for NBA: @Rotoworld_HK

I love LeftWingLock as well, it's great for a noob like me. When I looked for it this season I almost didn't recognize the site.
The condensed schedule will make things more interesting for sure this year. More games each night. Fewer days rest for dinged up players and vets. I'm thinking there will be a higher number of value plays for those willing/able to adjust their lineups right before locking in their lineups(maybe even more than basketball which is saying quite a lot).
On one hand teams need to rest key players more due to a condensed schedule but on the other hand it's not just condensed it's also shorter so each game is worth almost two games. It will be interesting to see how teams deal with that. I would think teams with two good goalies are going to have a much, much better regular season record but at the same time I don't think regular season record means as much in hockey as it does in the other sports.
I'll have to look into that DraftKings freeroll. Thanks for the heads up on that.

So how did you do?Love the $2 50 man 50/50 for NHL. Here is what I have right now...
Another rough night for me. Carelessly signed up for an all day league instead of just the night games and didn't go back and tweek my lineups before it was locked. Marleau/Yandle did pretty well but Smith(PHX) in goal and Vrbata killed me with negative scores. I was going to make the switch to Harding before I realized the morning game had already locked my lineup.
Look forward to hearing your MON lineup. Signed up for the night games this time.

Seems like they've re-worked how to price goaltending. Could have gotten a guy like Scrivens last year for a couple grand less I think.
All road team skaters on this team...not sure if I'll keep it that way.

I normally don't play any skaters against my goalie...maybe one player tops.
Yeah, I used that strategy when I was in the 100 player leagues with only the top 12% winning. Also used a lot of guys on the same line against the worst goalie. Last night was a 50/50 so it was an effort to spread the risk around. As it turns out I should have listened to you. Campell had a poor line but had 26min TOI so I don't feel too bad there. Huberdeau was a complete washout and only had 15min TOI but he's young and on the the end of a back to back so I'm going to roll with him one more night.

Sooner better than later, IMO. I think there is a good amount of NFL money being played early in this NHL season for lack of other things to do. They've tried NBA and quit long ago. I've seen some horrid looking lineups in NHL 50/50s.

Go easy, I finally got my first "W"! lol
It's kind of to be expected though, you have to admit. New things are shaking out, there wasn't the usual preseason and ramp up to get a solid idea of who would be on the ice and who is clicking. That's why I played in the cheap long shot contests early because I figured we were all just throwing darts in the early going.

Don't forget about the Fantasy Feud freeroll today.
Got one lineup in on Fanduel for the 4pm deadline. Hoping they put some up for games later. Read the entire front line of Florida will miss tonight, so I rolled with Bryzgalov in the early lineup. Chicago should be a great stack tonight...and maybe it's the night Philly breaks out. The guys on LUDawgs.com (been getting great daily info there) are saying to stack the Edm/Cgy game as well.

What is your handle on Fanduel?
I have several actually.
For hockey I've been using an old abandoned account that didn't have much left in it, "boltbacker" that I think was my first account with them.
The last few days or a week I've been experimenting a little with FantasyFeud and DraftStreet.
Do you think there is a "best" place to bet daily on hockey?

Not sure really. I only have money in Fanduel and FantasyFeud...and 3 Step One tickets on Draftkings that I need to use up but I have not seen a NHL option. I wanted to play on FantasyFeud yesterday but I didn't see contests I like besides the freeroll. But if I can keep this clip going on Fanduel, I don't have much reason to stray elsewhere except for freerolls.

It said FanDuel... I think it's when you click on the players you get recent game logs(you have to click on a tab to see it). There are several other sites that have had this for awhile.

Should be fun tonight with the light schedule. Hopefully keep on a rollin'. I've been hitting at a 75% clip on NBA and NHL since 1/12. Been lighter on NBA though. Still only one losing night of NHL since the season started.
Wow, that's amazing! Is that just at FanDuel or any other sites as well? Good luck tonight.

Fanduel only. The losing night was noted above when the Pens crapped the bed essentially. Been riding the hell out of some teams, like San Jose and more recently TB, but until they start slowing down they are scoring alot of points.
I just freeroll elsewhere when I can in hopes of building a bankroll that way. I think I mentioned before I have $5 sitting in Fantasy Feud and three Step One tickets at Draftkings. Need to play those out. If I had more time, I'd do more quantity and dollar wise. Just been super busy lately with work and family...but I'm still finding some time to squeeze in a little research.

Something like this will be my SJ forward stack tonight. If Greiss gets the nod over Niemi, I'll either play him here if I can use the $600 somewhere or I'll have other lineups not as heavy with SJ skaters that I'll use Greiss on and maybe Vlasic on D.

3 for 3 last night. I just added it up and I've cashed in 17 out of 22 NHL 50/50 entries since the season started.

Wow, I just joined a league last night to edit later and we had all these in common to start with. Of course last night I think Elliot was the only goalie that was confirmed so that slots a few of the others based on that salary.

any good referral or signup bonuses available? PM me details if I can get you guys any extra perks.
I don't need the free FBG subscription from fanduel obviously.

alright, I'm ready to jump into this I think.

The best deposit bonus is at StarStreet(200%) but I haven't used their service yet so I'm not sure if they have hockey...

There's a "free" daily hockey game(s) at DraftStreet, in the sense you earn points and with enough points you can make actual $ wagers....

... but with DraftStreet and FanDuel you only get a 40% bonus. You get a 50% bonus at FantasyFeud and there's a weekly freeplay on hockey there.
Plenty of choices so I'd suggest trying the freeplay at a few sites and seeing which one fits best for you before you start playing with actual $. I've been with FanDuel the longest and taken winnings out with not hitch in the past so that's the one we discuss the most often but you shouldn't feel limited to FanDuel.

Kind of going against the grain a little bit tonight with Ovie and Kessel but think they have to break out of their slumps, hoping that is a 5-4 type of game.

FWIW, I haven't spent nearly that much on defense on a lineup this year that I can recall. But if you're gonna spend it, I do like Shattenkirk tonight.
