What the #### is this whole unmasking thing? When I hear that term I think Scooby Doo villains- they're always unmasked at the end. "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"
When a US person is picked up incidentally to foreign intelligence gathering, he/she is identified only as "US Person X" or "1" or the like.  Unmasking is requesting the identity of the person be provided.

Why do cable news networks have all these dead weight old white dudes around?

Wolf Blitzer, Lou Dobbs, Geraldo, and some of these others should be put out to pasture. Also no idea how O'Reilly stays employed, crazy.
By that age old white dudes are so rich that they typically work for free.  That's my guess anyway.

Did he finally find the basement under Comet Pizza?
Check Mike Cernovich's wiki bio. Near the end, it notes his previous position that date rape isn't possible. Basically, if a bubonic plague pustule could become physically instantiated in human guise...

The Trump phenomenon's sphere of influence and "intellectual" orbit seems to attract a disproportionate, inordinate amount of febrile conspiracy theorists. In the latest New Yorker cover story (The Reclusive Hedge-Fund Tycoon Behind The Trump Presidency - How Robert Mercer exploited America's populist insurgency), about a big data genius that not only put his thumb but whole hand on the scale and may have singlehandedly swung the balance of the election - invested in Breitbart and Cambridge Analytica (selective voter message targeting algorithms allegedly fueled by hundreds of millions of Facebook profiles hacked by Russians), and put Bannon and Conway together with Trump. A curious (to say the least) policy guru for Mercer is head of the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine, one Arthur Robinson, biochemist, sheep ranger and climate change denialist. Some fun facts of the two:

Robinson

1) Has 14,000 human urine samples, even more bizarrely than for Golden Showers material, for the purposes of unlocking the key to the fountain of youth.

2) Wrote a 1986 book in which he claimed the "vast majority of Americans" would survive an all out nuclear exchange (sort of a dumber, crazier and more evil Dr. Strangelove, who along with George C. Scott, at least knew we would get our "hair mussed a little").

3) Climate change is a false religion.

4) Is a creationist who claims the "socialist" agenda of public schools is "evil" and represents "a form of child abuse."

Mercer

1) The above seems to be the source of his horrifyingly muted, understated concern about nuclear warfare, including the belief that outside the immediate blast radius of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (where, duh, people would be vaporized), it made the Japanese native population "stronger". You really can't make this stuff up, and Mercer father/daughter (Rebekah) team may have more clout right now than any other Trump/Republican donors. He is also of the opinion nuclear power plant accidents "aren't such a big deal".

2) During the Gulf War, he espoused the war crime-friendly belief we should have kept Iraq's oil (sound familiar?).

3) He also seems to be a proponent of the always wacky, nutty, zany Clinton ninja assassin hijinks belief.

Everyone, Trump really, really, really wants you to know he was caught in intercepts of suspected foreign spies and criminals, mkay?
That's the part of this whole thing that makes Trump look so unbelievably stupid. He keeps talking about this, and everyone paying attention who isn't an InfoWars/Cernovich nutjob understands the implications of Trump and his team getting caught up in incidental surveillance. I can't for the life of me understand why he keeps going down this road, except that he's too stupid to understand it and/or he's just targeting the 35% who will believe anything.

If you're talking tv ratings, 35% is an unbelievable number.

and another Cernovich exclusive:

http://www.dangerandplay.com/2017/02/28/source-of-national-security-breach-identified-leaker-is-david-laufman-of-doj/

and Cernovich is stating he has been spied on since March.  I have a feeling this spying on Trump supporters and Trump transition members is about to unravel bigly.
If the date rape denialist said it, must be true. Not like he has an extensive history of making stuff up or anything?

* Or ADMITTED history of overreaching troll efforts to discredit political opposition. Why would anybody believe somebody like that? Has Occam's Razor been banished? You realize Trump himself has a history of calling New York media in the '70s-'80s under an assumed name to talk about what a great guy Trump is. This is political theater/performance art with a little sick Triumph of the Will twist thrown in, and isn't that hard. If we had a video close up of the hands of "Nunes" furtively handing off incriminating documents to the hands of a "NatSec insider" and lifted the camera a little, it would reveal Trump handing it off to himself. As to the unmasking nonsense, we know there was an active FBI investigation of Trump campaign coordination with Russian operatives, so if there were documents involving THE CAMPAIGN INNER CIRCLE THAT WAS UNDER INVESTIGATION, and one of the 20 people entrusted with unmasking wanted additional context about who among THE INNER CIRCLE THAT WAS UNDER INVESTiGATION THE REDACTED PARTS WERE REFERRING TO, that sounds eminently plausible. Schindler has repeatedly addressed this is routine, and that people like the date rape denialist (and his febrile conspiracy theorist cohorts/minions/trolls) who have it otherwise have no idea what they are talking about, and are wittingly or unwittingly providing Trump cover (since he is doing a feeble job of it himself - the TrumpBannonNunes Axis of idiotic skullduggery is less James Bond and more Closeau/Austin Powers).

"Law enforcement was listening to us discuss things with enemies of the USA. How dare they listen to us? Whomever was listening to us break the law should be put in jail! "

To me, that seems to be Trump's argument. I don't know where he's going with this, other than defending his earlier tweet.

Is that about right?

Obama's girl leaked classified information to hurt the opposing party. You don't really understand the situation, do you?

Some of Donald Trump’s former campaign hands are rushing to sign lucrative deals with foreign clients, shrugging off their own pledges to avoid foreign lobbying and the president’s vow to “drain the swamp.”

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, whose partner, Barry Bennett, had said last year that their new firm wouldn’t lobby for foreign nations, is among those searching for foreign gold. Lewandowski and Bennett are actively seeking to represent foreign governments and consult on overseas elections, and members of the firm have met in recent weeks with officials from Albania and Kosovo.

“We’ve met with a bunch of people,” Bennett said. “It’s a big market, that’s for sure.”
Others actively pursuing foreign clients include Bryan Lanza, who served as deputy communications director for Trump’s campaign and plans to represent foreign governments in his new job at Mercury. Mike Biundo, a senior adviser on the Trump campaign, is looking to do political work in foreign countries. And Brad Gerstman, a partner at Gotham Government Relations & Communications, the New York firm that helped orchestrate Trump's 2015 campaign announcement, said he was “in advanced talks with a whole bunch of these foreign nations.”

White House press secretary Sean Spicer acknowledged on Monday that President Donald Trump can withdraw money from his businesses at any time, but he declined to say whether Trump would make such withdrawals public.

ProPublica reported earlier on Monday that a February change to legal documents governing Trump’s trust allows him to receive money from the businesses without disclosing it to the public.

Bloomberg, CBS, and Fox said it too and had 35,000 tweets an hour all day.  Cernovich was just the person who first broke the story
How many tweets did Cernovich get when he claimed date rape doesn't exist. How many tweets did he get when he lied about Clinton having the Andromeda Strain? How much mischief was created when Alex Jones helped propagate the lie that there were Satanic Pedophile Sex Slave rings in secret, hidden catacombs under the pizza place (which he has since apologized for, unlike most of the perps).

2 + 2 = 4, even if 35,000 tweets claim the equation = 5.

People like Cernovich and Jones are PROFESSIONAL muckrakers (you think they are getting IC "leads" higher quality than the Dude did about his stolen Creedence tape in the Big Lebowski caper?). IT'S WHAT THEY DO. Trump has an excuse for his degraded, atrophied, withering, rotting cognitive faculties and cheap, tawdry, facile, vapid and inane excuses/stunts/antics. He's Trump.

Bob, taking things out of context to invalidate a person's worth just makes you seem silly.

Please explain why the Natuonal Security Advisor shouldn't have access to this information?
There's a larger argument about all of this that is perfectly legitimate and I may actually agree with. That the ability to unmask US persons in intelligence gathering per a FISA warrant should be given to a single person, or no one at all, or require judicial review in the same manner as getting a FISA warrant. If we are truly engaging in foreign surveillance, it should be a huge hurdle to discover identities of US citizens who are caught up.

However, given the state of laws and regulations, that just isn't the case.

So this week it's Susan Rice, that won't go anywhere, next week it'll be some other horse#### made up by the rapist and the delusional paranoid fat radio dude, rinse, repeat. You guys have no idea how stupid you look buying into this crap.
Dude, is your wife trying to make you leave the country again over Trump? Why so angry?

Yeah, I mean, they feel the same way about us.  To be fair, their crazy hasn't caused a NSA to resign and request immunity, but to be fair to the other side, ours hasn't cost their party the presidential election.
