Phil gave up picks 18 and 101 for A.J. Brown. I would expect SF to want somewhat equivalent compensation for Aiyuk. Maybe pick 34 and next year's second?
It's usually just one or two owners in any given league that do this, and I still make trades with those guys. Most of my trades are ones where I initiated the conversation by making an offer.
It's ok to inquire if I'm open to trading someone, but I hate the "What do you want for xxx?". I'll never answer that question unless it's a player who I have already publicly put on the trade block. If you want one of my players, it's incumbent on you to make the first offer. I'll either...
I have Alec Pierce in a half dozen or so FFPC leagues and he is clearly on my cut list in all of them. He's the definition of a roster clogger. If I could get a 4th for him, I'd be thrilled.
Oh, I agree with that. I was just using those guys as examples of guys who went higher in the draft than everybody expected because of their speed. Since Worthy is a better football player and is faster, he might go a lot earlier than people think.
I expect Thomas to be the 4th WR drafted but it wouldn't surprise me if someone falls in love with Worthy's speed. Similar to John Ross or Henry Ruggs.
This is all true but part of it is that GB never trusted Jones to be a workhorse. Even though Jacobs has missed some games, he still has 1305 carries in 5 years. AJ has 1177 in 7 years. That lighter workload helps your YPC a lot, especially if you're not getting the short yardage carries...
How about an incentive laden contract? If someone offered him the vet minimum salary but with a lot of incentives, is Denver still on the hook for the $37+ million? I would assume so since they are paying him weekly throughout the season.
