Including skin color? How accurately did the casting of GoT reflect descriptions of characters in the books?

I haven't read any of the books. Does the source material have pictures? Does it describe characters in terms of whether they are white, black, brown, yellow or red? If it's all made up, couldn't characters be any color?

Just found this article yesterday. Seems to explain a lot, the BA.5 variant is apparently causing a lot of breakthrough infections and the symptoms are nastier than previous Omicron variants...

My god, Rise of the Resistance can be such a PITA! We're in Disneyland this week and bought LL passes for Resistance on Monday. I think we got in line 3 times for the LL entrance and all 3 times the ride shut down. We left the park mid-afternoon due to the heat and Resistance wasn't operating...
