Welcome to Our Forums. Once you've registered and logged in, you're primed to talk football, among other topics, with the sharpest and most experienced fantasy players on the internet.
This is why I pretty much stopped using the Shark Pool. Quality of the forums has gone way, way down. Despite all the "it's the same" responses, it's not. There used to be no tolerance for BS responses that are only posted to insult someone; now they're in almost every thread.
FBG's subscriber...
I find that quote from Fisher hard to believe... do you have a link?
Also- Jackson was smiling and clapping when Richardson broke that run. I didn't see if he personally congratulated him or not, but he was clapping for him.
I have no problem if you like Best Ball more- but the point of this thread wasn't "let's just agree to disagree." It was to discuss the pros and cons. If you'd like to leave the discussion here, that's perfectly fine. i'll post anyway though in case someone else wants to respond.Regarding that...
Certainly preferences that lend themselves to Best Ball, but (as I'm sure you know) not all preferences everyone has.I'm in the camp that thinks traditional fantasy football takes more skill, but I'd like to try Best Ball at some point. I do pull my hair out a good bit watching Reggie Bush go...
I'm not following. That seems really circular to me.. can you clarify? If I say the skill is in both drafting and maintaining a team AND in knowing who to start one week to the next, you say that that skill of building a team is neutralized if you don't have enough skill to set your lineup...
I agree. If you know who will produce, you know who to start.Predicting year end stats going into a draft is only part of it. Knowing how a team will perform a given week against a given defense is another part.
You can't always predict when a player will bust, but if you analyze matchups and...
I think that's a fine discussion, but IMO the way you presented it was not the most effective and will likely lead to more responses like  than a real discussion about best ball vs. traditional head to head.
I haven't been high on Charles at all and avoided him in all my drafts. That being said, I do expect things to pick up considerably from where they are now. Dropping him would be silly, IMO.
Wow, that was awfully aggressive. :o
To the OP: Yeah, I lost this week with Bush on my bench :bag:
But for every week I feel like this, there's one where I'm so glad I benched someone most were starting in favor of a less popular pick. Best ball takes quite a bit of talent out of fantasy...
I agree with Iod's point that the Texans D is hurting AJ's value. If they were in more shootouts, they'd be throwing more. I was leaning toward AJ if healthy, but this makes me reconsider. We'll see going forward, but hard to not be really high on Harvin right now.
I hope so, but being an Eagles fan all my life I have to be a little less optimistic. They won't throw 59 times, but they'll throw enough and Vick will play poorly enough that I see the Ravens landing a solid 2 score win.
We'll see.
Disagree, and clearly a number of other people do as well. If you have a problem with it though and want to assign motives without evidence, just don't post here then. Go to another thread. Pretty simple, IMO.
