As if they have no idea how to utilize him. At this point, I'm thinking the best option for their future is a dismal 2014 followed by the hiring of a new coaching staff/OC.

They've addressed their secondary needs in a big way. Now we just hope everyone pans out. Can't say I'm disappointed. Defense is in place, next year I expect them to think about QB and WR if there's no progress. Beyond that, we're starting to have few holes and a lot of depth.

They've spent too much draft capital on WRs the last couple of years to give up already, particularly since they've been passing on areas of need like FS in order to do so. Nice to see them take a breath and fill that gaping hole in our backfield.

Joyner was a nice get, moving ahead of Tennessee with its secondary needs. While I'm always nervous about size issues in the secondary, his skills are apparent.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind trading for #2. But I think Clinton-Dix would fill a need we've had for a number of years, and I don't think there's anyone comparable in the draft. Hence my not wanting to trade down from a spot at which we could get him, as I don't think he'll last far beyond...

As I'm really hoping they come away with Clinton-Dix at 13, I'm hoping they don't trade it. That being said, if he's gone, then I don't mind them moving down from it. At some point, though, we need fewer depth players and more elite talent. The time to merely stock the cupboard has passed.

I'm a fan of the delineation between Edge players and Off LBs. It's very helpful in wrapping one's mind around not only incoming prospects, but existing players and schemes.

Sankey's done great. Still, I'm a little disappointed to see that Crowell, Hill, West, and Seastrunk all skipped the 3-cone, and Mason only ran the short shuttle. Hard to make comparisons.
