I need to install an opener in a brand new garage. Are there any brands that are easier or more difficult to install, or are they all pretty much the same?
I've replaced a couple in the past, but never had to put one up where there never was one before.

The problem is that I'm having a system installed under the deck that will keep the patio area underneath it dry. So I won't have access to the bottom of the deck boards without removing those panels.

Actually they're not standard widths. Far more are in the 35.5-36" range, but there are narrower ones also.
