I think people aren't understanding the conversation topic. Of course you are allowed to do whatever you want. Of course people who care a lot about someone else's business are a bit ridiculous. But the idea of the conversation is to discuss when it is broadly considered legitimate to switch...
Simmons is pretty much on target, I think. So your friend is okay. He took the Orioles because DC didnt have a team but then switched to the hometown team when they got one. I think that's fine. And anyone who wants to root for the Nats is A-OK in my book. Why would anyone put themselves...
If it were, the Pats wouldnt have anyone to play since the Jets and Colts both would have lost last weekend... That was painful not knowing who you wanted to win less...
Havent read the thread, but I'm going to guess the Pats. Brady has been having like 15 pass attempts the last several weeks, much to my surprise. But we've been nursing leads and then had the game with no offensive snaps at all, and that would be very surprising, so there's my guess.
You really think he's hit his ceiling in his rookie year? It will take him a year or two to adjust just like everyone else. He will get open more often and produce more. I'm pretty high on him, actually. Sanders is a nice player, too, though. I'd stick with Thomas, though, all things...

I dont understand what you think tanking is. As soon as I'm eliminated from the playoffs, I should start a roster full of players on IR, right? Because otherwise, I have the first draft pick right in my hands and I'm supposed to do something against that?! This is exactly what tanking is, this...
Team A: 8-3 1000 ptsTeam B: 6-5 900 ptsTeam C: 8-3 800 ptsThere are two spots: one on record, one on points for teams that dont get in on record. So if Team B beats Team A, then Team C gets in on record and Team A gets in on points. Team B goes home. But if Team B loses to team A, then...
Yes, "legit" to me (and to the people in the leagues that have anti-tanking rules) is trying to win every game and putting out your best lineup every game. Any rules that give people incentive not to do that have either had unintended consequences or were not good rules. I think that most...
